Keep or cut Ricky Williams?

NFL.com's Adam Schefter points out that the Dolphins could save $3.5 million in salary cap room by releasing Ricky Williams.

Ricky is coming off a solid season and the move seems unlikely, unless Miami thinks it could woo Derrick Ward for a similar or less money. Ward is younger than Williams and has a lot less tread on his tires. Williams will probably return to the Fins, but is expected to assume a lesser role in 2009................

Why on earth would we cut him? Ronnie is injury prone and Ircky has been great for us. He is exactly what we need with this offense. Keep keep keep keep keep.

Yea right Ricky contract was rumor to be horrible and super cheap. Keep him unless they want to upgrade with Ward. Ward would be one heck of an upgrade especially coming of a 1,000 yard season. His price has rumore to have gone down. Will see!

Derrick Ward is such a pretender its not even funny............He ran behind a phenomenal o-line in NYG. He doesn't have blazing game speed, hes not that athletic, and hes not that durable.

I appreciate what Ricky has done over the years, but Ward is younger and has more left in the tank. I just think Ricky has lost a couple steps.
