Since we are settling in for a long season and the debate is focusing n a new regime, why not take a look at the personnel that the new regime may keep. We know that in 2008 the trifecta transitioned more then 30 new faces onto the roster from 2007 due to an extreme lack of talent. With a new regime coming in, obviously we will see a new roster but just how big of a change will it be? Are the Fins really as short on talent as they were in 2007? Please keep it based on who is actually performing (Bess, Thomas) versus who is a prospect (Wallace, Moore). In other words, guys that will start and make a difference.

Offense: Long, Pouncey, Thomas, Bess.

Defense: Dansby, Davis, Langford

Pretty pathetic that after 4 off seasons the talent is limited to just these 7 guys to build on. Thoughts? Opinions?

I have to agree it is pathetic. I had thought we would be closer to being an all around complete team playoff team and I just dont see that on the field right now.

Telling you guys...with the right coaching and the right scheme...Reshad Jones is that dude.

Keep him. He plays too hard to give up on.

I agree with you on Reshad. I would like to see the right coaching and scheme for all of our guys.

imo with that hand full of players you mentioned wheres our OL thats protecting our QB LIKE A BRICK WALL? and now we still putting the blame on Henne ? hell bro brady wouldnt do much better with the way our OL is protecting you just said it yourself not just in words, but by not putting that probowl line on here that been all soo great. lol

I watch A LOT of college football and I'm not too far from the University of Georgia. I even work with a few dudes who are Georgia grads, season ticket holders, etc.

We've sat around at work and talked about Reshad and a few other kids from Georgia for a couple of years now and how that IDIOT Willie Martinez has RUINED so many kids on defense. Dude is just the worst of the worst. How that guy retained his job as long as he did was beyond me. If those Georgia fans didn't have to sit on a lifetime waiting list for season tickets I think a few of them would have stopped giving to the University because of Willie alone.

Big hitter. Great in run support. Capable of making a big play but his positioning and the angles he takes on the ball and in pursuit are horrible. Additionally, he can't QB a defense to save his ***.

The only DB I might consider other then Davis at this point is Wilson.

My list:

Offense:

Daniel Thomas
Jake Long
Mike Pouncey
Davone Bess
Brian Hartline

Defense

Kendall Langford
Cameron Wake
Vontae Davis
Reshad Jones
Jared Odrick

I like what I've seen from Brian Hartline. I think with the right QB, he can be a lot like Pierre Garcon with Peyton Manning. He can open up a lot for the other receivers on the team.

Jared Odrick...I think there's a lot of talent there that just hasn't been tapped into yet with the right coaching. He's worth keeping around IMO. Soliai is also worth keeping but I don't know if the next regime does.

Completely agree man. Completely. But this is correctable with the proper coaching. Willie Martinez's entire defense was playing out of position. Reshad is just doing what he knows. It's easily correctable. It's not like a QB's mechanics so I'm still hopeful for Reshad. I don't think there's a guy on this team that plays harder than #20.

How is Sean Smith not on these lists? The guy is better than Vontae

And dont forget Brandon Fields, he should be getting some MVP votes with the way he's punting this year lol

Reshad Jones sucks, the guy can provide over the top help if his life depended on it.

Wow, no love for Brandon Marshall???

Offense

Long
Pouncey
Marshall
Hartline
Bess
Henne (Competing under a different regime, would like an upgrade though)
Thomas

Defense

Langford
Wake
Dansby
Burnett
Davis
Smith

Those are the players I wouldn't let go. From what I hear, paul is just askin for too much imo..

I agree. You have to keep marshall. Would be stupid not to. Hes a dominate receiver whether you want to believe it or not.
