My list would be

Offense-

Daniel Thomas
Brandon Marshall
Brian Hartline
Davonne Bess
Jake Long
Mike Pouncey

Defense

Jared Odrick

Brandon Marshall is certainly a big target for an elite QB. But it's not like he isn't expendable. Everyone I think is expendable but Marshall moreso than a few others. Marshall can be a bit of a hot head. Some off the field issues damn near every season. Talks a little too much for my taste. But he's definitely a talent.

I agree. You have to keep marshall. Would be stupid not to. Hes a dominate receiver whether you want to believe it or not.

The guy has 261 yards through 3 games, meaning hes on a pretty good pace for a 1300-1400 yard season, but who likes that... not us! I love how people like to bash this regime for drafting an offensive line and not taking a risk tand taking playmakers but then want to get Rid of Marshall, our BEST WR but keep 2 offensive linemen..

I agree 100% He's a beast and a great player

WR is just a diva position, Marshall may be expendable, but he is our Best WR, so what makes him more expendable than Bess and Hartline? Just because hes a hot head and off-field issues? He hasn't been suspended while hes been in a Dolphins uni yet, and even through going 0-3 hes been pretty level headed so far..

Plus before last year, Everyone was all up in arms about how we needed to be aggressive and finally get a big time WR.

We get one and people all a sudden want to go back to under the radar WR look that we've had for years.

Yeah...I don't look at stats and stuff like that. I just watch the games.

Yeah so how do you not notice that Sean Smith has blanketing his WR for the last year?

Since we are settling in for a long season and the debate is focusing n a new regime, why not take a look at the personnel that the new regime may keep. We know that in 2008 the trifecta transitioned more then 30 new faces onto the roster from 2007 due to an extreme lack of talent. With a new regime coming in, obviously we will see a new roster but just how big of a change will it be? Are the Fins really as short on talent as they were in 2007? Please keep it based on who is actually performing (Bess, Thomas) versus who is a prospect (Wallace, Moore). In other words, guys that will start and make a difference.

Offense: Long, Pouncey, Thomas, Bess.

Defense: Dansby, Davis, Langford

Pretty pathetic that after 4 off seasons the talent is limited to just these 7 guys to build on. Thoughts? Opinions?

Not sure langford has been very good this year. I dont think we have one untouchable on this team. Long is as close as it comes but If it netted the right player or even draft pick(like it took him to get Luck oh well)

Smith is a good player, and pretty good at coverage, the guy may tackle like a complete pansy, but can't deny his coverage skills. Sure he gives up a few catches a game but which CB doesn't? I'd honestly take Vontae over Smith, but I'd love to keep both of them, especially because Smith is so flexible and plays both CB and FS..

I agree, but there isn't many untouchables in the league either. Patriots? Brady? Packers? Mathews and Rodgers? This team has good players, but need to put it together with coaching and leadership which hasn't been shown this season at all.

so what you are saying is we will not make the playoffs for another 5 years

Marshall is a guy that we gambled on. He is a hot head. He does have off the field issues that can cause distractions. Even if you haven't been suspended in a Dolphins uniform, at his age, you are what you are. If you're bad with money at 18, you're probably bad with money at 28, and bad with money at 38. That's not football that's just life. You can get a lot for Brandon and if you can you do so.

But I wouldn't have any issues if we kept him.

Yeah, I've noticed. But I haven't noticed that he's better than Vontae Davis.

I think it's clear that he is better in coverage than Vontae, but I could see the arguement that Vontae is better when you take run support in account.

But I still think Smith is better IMO because corners are payed to cover, if they tackle than thats just an added bonus

Well of course, but I don't see him causing any distractions, and I have no problem with having a "hot head" on this team as long as hes producing and winning. I can careless if hes showing some passion on the field, as long as he isn't getting on a T.O. level. This is football, emotions come out.
