He always was a woolly mammoth type guy at DT. It was quite a gamble when you consider him at age 37 being able to play at a high level. Well, it has obviously paid off. He is a dominating DT even at age 37. Wish old Ponce De Leon left directions to the fountain of youth so we could give old Keith a bath.

Good thing Keith has said that he doesn't plan on retiring after the season and that he wants to return next year.

One thing that really stood out to be other than Traylor's size, is his motor. Coming from New England / Belichick's coaching, I could just tell that he was going to make an impact regardless of his age. Traylor comes to play every week, and the coaching he's recieved under Belichick still shows....

He's been one of my favorite defensive players these last two years. Without him in the middle, our defense would be dead in my opinion....

PHINZ RULE!!!! :fatman:

i think i like him better then timbo....... sorry timbo, you just didnt chase around qbs and backs in the backfield like the Traylor.

Jason Taylor is the MVP but he's not far behind. For 37, or any age for that matter, he's been top notch.

He was top notch last year! He just didn't get as much recognition because he didn't happen to fall on top of the quarterback 2 extra times.

Seriously a lot of people are only noticing him now because he has 4 sacks.

I don't see him playing much different than last year and I don't see our better run defense being because of Traylor. Our better ground defense is because Crowder is playing better, our safeties are playing better against the run, and because of Dan Wilkinson. Those factors represent the difference.

Traylor being out a little while isn't going to be a huge deal. It wasn't last year at this time and it won't be this year.

I agree again. MIA's run defense is a team thing not a Traylor thing. You're right. He wasn't missed when Manny Wright and Zgonina stepped in for him those 3 or 4 games last year which were part of the win streak.
