are we trying to keep him, release him, trade him? whats the word, i loved what he did with us last year and as long as theres someone to replace him evey once in a while (age, injury) he can be a force in the run stopping game

If we sign Adams he may be released, I hope we can keep both though!!

why keep both? we got manny wright too who showed some promice last year if we get adams traylor is gone for sure, keeping both would be a waste of money

A waste of money are you kidding, two big guys stuffing the run will help.Manny wright is still up and coming. Not to mention we can cut Zgonina!

I think we'd keep Traylor if we sign Adams. Man, can you imagine the trouble the teams would have running up the middle on us with those two clogging it up? Wow. It would be damn near impossible and it would really free up our LBs to make plays all over the field.

Yeah, but if it came down to it, I'd rather have Traylor plugging the middle... Adams is quicker and stronger, but takes plays off. IMO Traylor is more disciplined and will plug, which is his job, better... With that being said, Adams as our 3 technique? I think I am drooling...

I agree with ya 100% Dude

I hope we keep Traylor 2 cause he is one helluva run stopper.

Why would you cut him instead of Zgonina?

Traylor only counts 500,000 against the cap with his vetrans discount...money is not an issue, but a roster spot is if we find someone who can stay on the field all year long.

I would MUCH rather keep Track-Traylor than Adams..
However if you throw Zgonina (Or the release of) into the equation..
And then mention a d-line of:
Roth/Carter/Holiday<>Track Traylor<>Sam Adams<>JT:drool:

Also, think of how Man-O-War Wright could come on watching Sam Adams and Tractor Dominateing the line of scrimmage. Serious incentive for the youngster.

If I had to choose a run plugger, it would be Traylor as well. But why not both? Traylor is really cheap, so cutting someone like him would make no sense, IMO.

Yeah cutting Traylor makes sense....:shakeno:, you could have 700 Lbs of DT in the middle keeping the OL off of Crowder, Thomas, and (Insert starter here). If we allow our LB's to just roam free they will absolutely dominate the opposition.

traylor and adams would be one of the best combos in the league if they both stay healthy the whole season that would be amayzing cut zgonina(sry buddy) and have wright also he'll learn from some good players and they will stuff the run all day long

You don't start both of them...

You only start one and keep rotating in with Adams starting and Traylor backing him up. Besides Wright will be at the other DT spot, the penetrating one-gap DT.

I've got a radical but unlikely idea for you guys, so let's see what you think. Guys like Traylor and Adams are suited for 3-4 defenses, of course, to be the nose tackle. But if you have both, not playing both is wasteful. Obviously, the LB signings we've made/will make along with the LBs we already have are more suited for having 4 on the field. How about employing a 4-4-3 defense, with Taylor-Traylor-Adams-Carter (Roth, Wright, Vickerson, Holliday as reserves) line, Arrington/Peterson-Thomas-Crowder-Hodge/Spragan, and any 2 of the corners and Bell or Hill as the safety. Do you think it would work? It's probably a defense you could use for individual plays rather than as a main set, but it would certainly confuse the opposing offense in the middle of the game. You could even line Bell up as an OLB at times and have him be the S/LB hybrid if you want.

Just an idea, opinions welcome.
