Potential qb to keep an eye on. Freshman qb at boise state 2nd in cbs polling as freshman of the year. This kid is one of the best young qbs I have seen in years. Need to put on some weight but hey he is only 20 years old. Dad was coach at high school. Developed this kid into quite a good qb. Anyhow here is article on him and his stats.
This week we have six of the best freshman in the nation (in alphabetical order) -- Sean Baker, DB, Ball State; A.J. Green, WR, Georgia; Travis Lewis, LB, Oklahoma; Kellen Moore, QB, Boise State, Terrelle Pryor, QB, Ohio State and Jacquizz Rodgers, RB, Oregon State.
Rodgers is currently No. 1 on the list after four consecutive 100-yard rushing performances. His breakout was against USC when he gained 186 yards and two touchdowns. Overall, Rodgers has 812 yards. Boise State quarterback Kellen Moore once again had a solid game, keeping Boise State undefeated and stays in the No. 2 slot.
Georgia's A.J. Green, who came back on the list this week after a seven catches and 132 yards in the victory against Vanderbilt, had another solid game vs. LSU. Meanwhile Terrelle Pryor fell down a bit after a tough game against Penn State.
Meanwhile two defenders stay on the list -- Oklahoma's Travis Lewis and Ball State's Sean Baker. Both continue to lead their teams in tackles and interceptions
QB, Boise State: Moore once again had another solid game, throwing for 244 yards and two touchdowns in Boise State's victory over San Jose State. Moore now has 1,835 yards and 15 touchdowns on the season. The biggest question for Moore is can he catch Rodgers? Stock: STEADY
