I believe losing all 3 of those guys hurt what we wanted to do. We could come out in multiple confusing sets. This photo is from the touchdown wallace scored against the texans preseason. Its a trips set to the right with keller gibson and wallace. The broadcaster even says "interesting formation by miami." It results in a touchdown by wallace and keller was wide open as well. I havent seen any formations like this all season.

They ran that formation against Indy when two of those three guys were hurt, and it worked. We could run that formation with Clay and Matthews.

I think what we're seeing is that Mike Wallace has mentally checked out and as a result Mike Sherman is writing him out of the gameplan.

That is exactly why Sherman should be fired. This play and many others should be run to Wallace just so we can use it again and throw to someone else. Why right off one of our best playmakers? That is just bad coaching. You can design plays for him and scheme him to be open and touching the ball more. We have seen it a few times. We don't have to just have him run 9 routes. Damn throw him screens, how about drags? Bunch formations? Seriously bad coaching by Sherman.

After seeing numerous screen passes to Wallace fail miserably...I say we cut that all together. He clearly has no interest in running full steam ahead and getting the yards he can.
I can't remember which game it was, but he caught one on 3rd down and basically just turned around and got in the fetal position before getting hit...leaving a 4th a 1.
He should be running crossing routes and go routes clearing room for everyone else.
It take a lot of guts and heart to play as physical as Steve Smith/Welker with that frame, but we have struck out twice looking for that type of guy in Ginn and Wallace.

Confusing for us or them?

Here's a quote from Mike Wallace before he left Pittsburgh echoing exactly what Wannyheimer is saying.

When I don’t get the ball for a certain amount of time, I lose focus sometimes. It hurts me when it’s time for me to make a play. The toughest thing is staying positive through three quarters because you’re not going to get the ball every time. You have to be ready to deliver when it comes your way. That’s been the biggest thing I’ve had to learn this year.”

It seem's like he truly hasn't learned a lesson from this or done anything to fix this problem... which is a BIG PROBLEM.

Yeah, looks like tannehill has mentally checked out on deep ball accuracy as well.

Wallace deserves some blame for effort but i don't think i've seen him overthrown yet,

Ryan needs to wing it and let Mike run under it. He had two steps on the guy yesterday and was underthrow, That's on Tannehill and it's not the first time.

Considering Sherman just came out and said we need to get Wallace the ball deep more I disagree.
