Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter 2mDolphins free-agent TE Dustin Keller is visiting the Patriots today, per source.

Good signing for them if healthy

Not only is TE Dustin Keller visiting the #Patriots, but source tells me the physical on his knee went very well.

Keller wanted to come back to Miami. But I think Dolphins are waiting to see what happens in draft, etc

It would have been nice to see what he and Tannehill could have put together on the field.... but with the emergence of Clay, I can see why we haven't made Keller a deal.

I would like to see how healthy he is before we did anything.

Keller is a guy that has that ability to get open. Can he do it now after huge surgery? Remains to be seen. I always hated him as a Jet, loved the acquisition, and will hate him as a Pat.

HIGHLY doubt any team signs Keller pre-draft.

I am still hoping we bring him back, he will be a steal for someone this year. nasty injury, but completely avoided nerve damage, so when healed, he will be fine.

Good move by the Pats for just that reason. Miami may be thinking that they could end up with Ebron, and will not be looking at Keller before the draft is done. On the other hand, Pats are not going to draft a TE, and can make a move now.

Keller is a good fit for New England. I wish him well .. except when he plays against us.

He would fit in well to the old Hernandez role, and while not quite as quick and athletic as Hernandez was, it is a good fit for his skillset. But, that's another training in table gamble for Belichik ... and I guess he didn't learn his lesson banking on Amendola.

IMO based on how well he was clicking with RT17 in exhibition season, Gibson's injury notwithstanding, Keller's health was the difference for us between the playoffs and the remote controller. I would have hoped that our own docs could have looked at him before he signs with NE (at a deal based on his severe injury and resulting uncertainty I'm sure won't break the bank). Was hoping we'd resign him. Of course, trading up for Ebron would certainly sweeten that bitter pill.

I agree, even with the line and running game if keller and gibson had stayed healthy we would have made the playoffs, and probably beaten the bengals
