Where is everyone's confidence that our dingbat owner hired people capable making and executing a masterful plan? Because that's the way you have to look at it. Morons and mediocrities don't make great plans, to say nothing of pulling them off. It takes great people to do that, and even great people can fall short of their capabilities. Lesser people don't rise above, or almost never do. You certainly can't bet on it.
