If either guy takes the job, someone will have some egg on their face. Kelly has already told people that he's staying with Cincy. So he would have effectively "Sabaned" if he were to leave. And now Stanford's AD is "100% confident" that his guy isn't a candidate. This is getting interesting to watch. I've also heard that Kelly and his wife have an outspoken pro-choice agenda and that ND might be turned off by it. But apparently, they aren't.
