It s probably nothing to you young guys, but i have been watching some of the 80's games beween marino and kelly, and i gotta say that Kelly was some QB--yes he had a better O line at times than Dan, but even so this bloke was gutsy. I aint saying he was as good as Dan but all the same he is due a hell of a lot of a credit to what he has brought the game. I'm in full admiration for this guy----But Dan was better :)

Who said Jim Kelly is bad? Jim Kelly is pimp status in my opinion.

Now Marino is god status. ;)

I can tell from ur age that you dont remember him too well. In my opinion J kelly and the PATS D bring back the worst memories i got of the Fins :)

I've seen around 10 of his games (including a game of his from when he played in the USFL I think it was :p) and I know he was a very elite QB.

Pats D of late 80's/early 90's or Pats D of today?

I'm a Dolphin fan to the core, but I'll be the first to say that Jim Kelly was not only a good player, but a GREAT one.

Jim Kelly was one of the greatest QBs to ever play the game. I have a lot of respect for him as a player and as a person.

I can say I hated Kelly while he was a Bill for all the pain he brought the Fins, but always respected him, he was one tough QB.

As much as it seems odd I miss the Marino-Kelly days. I live right in Bills country and the whole week leading up to the Fins games that is all that was talked about on the radio, newspapers or anywhere else you went. Now when they play it's a small article if anything in the newspaper and that's about it.

I was actually hoping that he would have accepted that offer to play for the Ravens so I could actually root for the guy. Jim Kelly deserves all the credit that he has received.

Jim Kelly

BTW if that you who do you play for--I used to know a girl from Long Beach--ugh never mind

It can't be that team then. :p I play in a farm league for the arena league. We were a brand new team this year and was my very first year in the league. (Got 2nd in the division not good enough for the playoffs though :( ) It's also in Cali so it can't be long beach. :p

He was sure something, probably not as good as Dan, but good none the less.

the Pats D of the 80's/90's had Marion, lippett and Hurst, and boy did they give Dan a headache-- not that Dan couldn't cope, but it did cause problems. I believe that the Pats and the Giants were the leaders in giving the Fins probs back then. Dan seemed to cope with all other teams

Kelly was also an incredible QB, but Marino was always on a higher level.
