Am I the only one who is completely in love with this guy? All of these other guys: Lee, Beckham, Cooks, Latimer, Robinson and even Watkins all are similar in size to our current wideouts. We have speed and deep threats already. We need height and someone that can go up after the ball. I see one flaw and that being he is 23. But that also brings maturity along with it. This guy is 6'5" with a record setting wingspan. He will totally be available at 19 and I say it would be dumb to pass on this guy (aka, Juilo Jones, AJ Green, Calvin Johnson). We could possibly even trade down a few spots, get more picks and still snag this beast of an athlete. I think we have to go WR in round 1. We have done great in FA getting the OL taken care of and can even get some week 1 starters in round 3-5. Anyway, just seeing if anyone else had a man crush on this guy? And I am even a UF alumni.

I'm down with a playmaker...they say he's having weight issues but who knows what's smoke scrrrns

I'm on board. Hoping he will be there in the second. But that's probably not going to happen.

I don't see anything special about him. Yeah he is huge but to me he just isn't worth it. If it isn't oline in the first we have to hope for Ebron to slide or draft Mosely.

He is one of the few wide receivers I have no interest in at all and I hope the Dolphins feel the same way. Just like many on here have stated in other threads, he does not use his size advantage to get open and I think he will struggle at the NFL level. Big does not equal great or even good for that matter. There are so many better prospects at the wide receiver position that interest me and I hope interest the Dolphins as well. My favorites that the Dolphins may have a shot at are Donte Moncrief, Allen Robinson, Marqise Lee, and Odell Beckham.

Your logic is good re getting a WR with decent size. I had the same thought. The other thing that supports this is that new OC Bill Lazor apparently loves to create physical mismatches for opposing Defenses eg the use of Riley Cooper at Philadelphia. I don't think that we can bank on Armon Binns to become a regular, although he has some decent potential. In which case we don't have the big guy in our WR corps.
Benjamin could be good and he's big. I saw where at 6'5" 240 lbs, he was described as being just a good cheeseburger away from being a TE and maybe we take him to become a TE?
About 5 years ago when we drafted Hartline, we also drafted Patrick Turner WR from USC in the 3rd round. Turner had the height and good hands but didn't have any speed to separate and was a complete Draft bust who got chopped after 1 year. Benjamin appears to be better than Turner, but there is a bit of a concern re creating separation against NFL Defenses.
There appear to be an abundance of WR riches in this year's Draft and it looks like smaller speedier players such as Marqise Lee, Odell Beckham Jr, Brandin Cooks possibly available in the first round. I don't know how you prioritize speed vs good route runner vs size, but that is Hickey's challenge. All could be exceptional talents. I also really like Allen Robinson. At 6'2" 225 lbs, he is a decent size and he plays like a physical WR in the mold of Brandon Marshall. He could be very good and may be available in the 2nd round.
Also it is great to see a University of Florida alum being supportive of drafting an FSU guy. Did hell freeze over? Congrats on being open minded but Mike Pouncey may want to have a word with you.

NOOOOOO! We do not need this guy. Name a high quality DB that he faced last year. He only ran one route; he is not physical for someone of his size. And his bench numbers were very low; Miami Hurricanes punter has very comparable combine numbers A PUNTER, and would probably jam him up at the line of scrimmage. You would think that he would be a killer at the fade route but how many of those have you seen Ryan T. complete. Tannehill need route runners and speed guys, not a big, slow WR that can only run 1 route.

Not a fan of his game....he's big, but he plays small, has average hands, and almost no separation....

As Spike mentioned there is Robinson who is a big bodied WR, as well as Moncrief and Latimer who are all better then Benjamin as well having very good size

I'd rather go Bryant in rd 2. Similar frame but he can run and has much better upside.

Please no. He's just a big WR, nothing else is worth noting about him. Not ideal hands, speed, route running etc.

I am bias but people need to remember he's only a red shirt sophomore but I also wasn't a huge fan in 2012. He is still young and has made huge leaps and bounds from his freshman year to his sophomore year. In 2012 he was just a big athletic guy running down the field. In 2013 he started learning how to use his body and ran routes. He is 6'5", 240 lbs, he doesn't need separation he just needs to use his body like a basketball player does when boxing out for a rebound. If he would have stayed in college another year (which he should have) he would have bee a top 10 pick next year if he continued to show the improvement he did from 2012 to 2013.

He still needs to improve and if you compare 2012 to 2013 there is no reason to think he wont. He's not perfect, but he hasn't even come close to his ceiling yet.

We have one deep threat and that is Wallace.

The Dolphins do not have a player like Brandin Cooks or Beckham.

What we have is a bunch of possession receivers, which I fear Benjamin will be as well.

Brandin Cooks is a 4.3 forty with burst touchdown scoring machine.
