Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) - Cincinnati Reds center fielder Ken Griffey Jr. suffered a broken left hand due to an undisclosed accident at his home, the team announced Friday.
Griffey, an 18-year veteran and 12-time All-Star, will be fitted with a cast until he is re-examined by team doctors in three weeks. Since joining the Reds in 2000, the 37-year old future Hall of Famer has been plagued by numerous injuries and played in just 206 games from 2002-04.

Dang, he could have set some amazing statistical levels "IF" he only stayed healthy.

500 home runs, he's in the hall of fame!! no doubt.

I think the "injuries" help his legacy anyway. Especially in the "steroid" era that he played in. Clearly he was clean and didn't take any shortcuts for the quick return!!

Personally, I'm not a fan of his. Don't like his attitude and such., But as a player he can hit with the best of them and always gave effort. He will be iN Cooperstown!!

gotta have respect for him not taking roids to recover from injury in this day and age.
