Ken Griffey Jr. to the Braves

I figured he'd have gone to Seattle.

Would have been a nice way to end his career, but then again, Seattle's pretty terrible this year.
 
Sweet, I can now see him play live when the Marlins play the Braves...I like Griffey

I love this move! I'm not annointing him a savior or anything but I've always been a fan of Griffey. If their pitchers can stay off the DL, I think they could win it too..
 
Griffey is awful. He's a 4th OF at best right now. It's sad watching him try to hit now. Watching him with the White Sox last year he just doesn't have anything left.

Strongly disagree.

People have over rated the Braves for the last several years now, and each year they have failed to win the NL East. I believe that the Phillies are still a far superior team than the Braves, and the Mets on paper are better too. Adding Ken Griffey and Javier Vazquez isn't going to suddenly catapult them over two talent laden ball clubs even if they have a core of young players waiting in the wings like they always do.
 
I forgot about the Phillies..I'll admit, I don't pay a whole lot of attention to the NL East, mostly I just watch the NL West and AL West.
 
Makes sense for him in Seattle. I'm going to have to head to an A's-Mariners game to watch him play.
