Interesting how they can protect different players week to week.
Not gonna lie one of the only things that got me through the tough times this year was knowing that Ken Webster would be safely on our practice squad. Now that he's not here I don't know what I'm gonna do...

What’s our obsession w LS guys? Didn’t we draft one? Why do we keep signing more? We had the guy in the off-season and now a PS guy? How about we kick the tires on some DL guys instead?

Because in the covid era you're one failed test or even a failed test by a family member away from losing your regular snapper and you want to have someone nearby with at least a little comfort level with your holder and kicker. That's why you're seeing practice squad players at almost ever position group, you might be fine one moment and need to call someone up the next.
Good call. I hadn’t thought about that but should have. Can’t recall the last time I saw a LS signed to the practice squad / looked odd.

Played decent last year but probably understands that this teams too deep at corner to get much of a look and wants to take his chances elsewhere.

Strange year. Last I checked the Patriots still aren't going with a kicker on the 53 man roster and just taking advantage of the expanded ps and the new ps rules. In normal years I would hate the thought of wasting a ps spot on a kicker or holder. Was also really strange to see the Bucs opt to go with no backup qb on the active roster Sunday behind their 40 year old starter. Wonder what the plan is if him gets injured.
Did you see where the 49ers just signed him as a possible Richard Sherman (IR) replacement?
Makes sense. One is a potential hall of famer and the other is Richard Sherman.
