Thu, 26 Jul 2007 17:01:53 -0700 Karen Crouse, of the New York Times, reports New York Jets OG Pete Kendall does not know if he will show up for the start of training camp because he is looking for a new contract. He is due to make $1.7 million in 2007 after averaging $3 million per season in the previous three years. He is looking to have the four-year deal he signed a year ago restructured so he will make $2.7 million this season. He met with team officials earlier in the offseason and was given the impression they would take care of him. There is speculation he's pushing for a raise to prompt his release.

The big difference, of course, is that Kendall actually contributed something of significance to his team for many years (he helped them win and he played at a high level). His team also didn't go out on a limb and throw away a high draft pick for him.
Are you sure you are a Dolphin fan, because nearly every one of your posts is pessimistic about the upcoming season or excessively critical of the front office. Or is it that you are just a negative person in general.

Hey if you are so excited about all our teams success lately more power to you. I criticize my team because so far in my eyes they have deserved it. I'm not giving any free passes to a new coach. If he gets some things accomplished I will give him all the credit in the world but I'm not ready to heap praise on a coach that has barely completed a few practices. Just because you are a fan does not mean you are not critical of your team. Our front office over the last few years has deserved every bit of criticism I can give them. maybe you have been watching a differant team than me but i really dont recall us making any playoffs lately. Please show me where being a fan means you dont criticize your team. So you can kill that are you sure that you are a dolphin fan crap. I want to make sure that you are actually watching the dolphins play since you are so high on what we have done.

Please find one of my posts that shows that I am very excited about this upcoming season or where I have expressed unrealistically high expectations for this team. Please, go ahead and find one.
I am cautiously optimistic, but I maintain an even keel. I base my opinions on what I have seen transpire this offseason, NOT on what has happened the last 5 seasons. Unlike you, who is repeatedly negative to the point where it almost seems as if you want to see this team fail or you enjoy getting under people's skin.
I suspect the latter.
 
Even though pete has reported he is still ripping the orgnization and wants out unless he gets a raise. We'll e what happens.
