For those interested, ex-phin receiver Kendall Newson, who started the season with my team the Florida Stingrays of the AIFA will make his AF1 debut tonight on ESPN at 7:00 pm EST in the Divisional Playoffs for the Georgia Force as they battle the Cleveland Gladiators.
 
Areana football is so weird but hey its the only football on these days.
 
I think he caught a pass against the Titans in an away game in 2003.
 
I never got into Arena Football either. The field is too short for my tastes. My favorite things about watching football include the big play (and the potential for the big play) which is limited when you have a shorter field (no Kieth Byars running 77 yards in the snow if the field only has 50 yards.), and watching a drive develop with all the strategy involved in getting the ball downfield.

But, more power to you.
 
Didn't they used to be down here at the Hard Rock under the name MantaRays?

The old CEO of my company owned a share of them, we used to get free tickets at work. I didn't think they would be around for long the place was absolutely empty
 
The only one I know who's associated with Arena Football is Jon Bon Jovi :buddwalk:
 
Arena Football is awesome- The coaches and players are mic'ed up so you'll hear an F-Bomb slip every once in a while.. haha
 
newson was in the post-op room with me at doctor's hospital after he had he knee repaired

i was so loopy but still managed to say whats up...then i passed back out!
 
Kendall is a great guy who has fought through 2 serious injuries.

Arena Football would do itself a huge favor by playing on Sundays and showing regional coverage.
 
Newson had a lot of talent but a lot of bad injury luck.
 
as I've said many times, they should really start showing the CFL in the states... blows the AFL out of the water IMO.

Actually, they show games in the Tampa Bay area markets. They have a channel called "Catch 47" that shows CFL games. The CFL is a lot more entertaining than the Arena League, IMO.
 
I always rooted for Kendall Newson. I wished he had more of a shot with Miami. He impressed me with his play in NFL Europe. I wish him the best in the Arena League.

I watch the cfl games, just wish there was 4 downs they can keep the other rules. The other week Adaruous Bowman looked real good.
