Actually, Titanic's rivets, often blamed for the tragedy, were made in Belfast, Ireland.

Just saying.......

I minored metallurgy in college and we were taught it was the steel, but that was 40 years ago and I'm far from an expert metallurgy so I would not and cannot question your reply. I would go out on a limb to say I was close enough. After all the rivets have to be at least as strong as what they're riveting if not more so.
