Most people have Rutgers WR Kenny Britt falling to the second round. This guy is a big receiver that is not afraid to take a hit or give one out. He is a good blocker and has decent speed for his size. He's 6-4 around 200 pounds and runs a 4.5 forty time. The best part is this guy has great hands and makes some pretty amazing catches. What do do you guys think about taking this guy in the second, especially if he falls to the late second round??

I think this guy could be an asset for us going across the middle and picking up those needed short to medium range passes. Any thoughts?

Nah, he's an Ernest Wilford clone. Why dump one and waste a draft pick on another?

If MIA is targeting a WR in the draft...it must be at #25. Likely target would be Hakeem Nicks. Or they can send the #25 pick to ARI for Boldin.

If they are thinking FA? TJ Houshmansadah.

I expect Britt will be under 4.5 at the combine. Wilford couldn't run a 4.5 unless it was a 35 yard dash.
The Sporting News btw has Britt as the #7 overall player in their Super 99.

Rightfully or wrongfully the issue that Britt has been associated with, is that he has at times been considered somewhat of a Diva. That kind of personality will not cut it with Parcells and gang. I am sure they will look into it but he does have the exact physical ability that this team is looking for in a wide-out.

Britt would be a fine value in the 2nd round at either pick, but except when Terry Glenn was forced on him, Parcells does not have a penchant for drafting WRs early on. IIRC, the only other WR he was part of selecting in the first two rounds was Mark Ingram. One could make the argument that he selected neither one, because while he had input he didn't have the final say in either case.
I think the drafting of Glenn was what ultimately led to the famous Parcells quote of "If they're going to ask you to cook the meal, they ought to let you buy the groceries."
When Ingram was drafted by the Giants, the great talent evaluator George Young, (who worked for Miami in the mid late 70s when we had some great drafts btw,) had the final say so on who was picked, but I'm sure Parcells was allowed to offer his input. Young was also an assistant coach for the Colts when Shula was there fwiw.

LOL they are the same size and we all know that in the NFL people who are the same size always play alike....just ask Bess, Camarillo, or Zack Thomas that one
