Seriously, it's old news, who cares? Let the cameraman sue and get his money.
 
only in the MLB you could assault someone and get away with it on what is really just a 3 game suspension (suspended 20 games, served 12 which equals 3 starts...i.e. 3 GAMES!)....

I dont give props to Selig very often because he's horrible, but he did the right thing, and the MLBPA and the arbitrator blew it this time.

I don't give any credit to Selig. He should have known that the suspension should be reduced so he should have given him 30 games. But like Hostile7 said who cares its old news, the only thing that stinks about it is that Rogers is now going to pitch against the Sox.
 
Who was the arbitrator? Kenny's brother? Totally absurd, I thought the orignial suspension was crazy. An unprovoked attack on a 4foot tall camera man gets u 20 games which is like 4 or 5 starts, thats just nuts. If it wasnt for Hockey, MLBaseball would get my vote as the most poorly run professional sports league in history.
 
It is a joke....starting pitchers should get suspended for SCHEDULED STARTS not games or days.

Rogers should have got a 5 START suspension at least.

The arbitrator is a horses a$$.

How can you justify a 25 game suspension, when Rafael Palmeiro is juicing and only being punished 10 games for it?

Unless someone charges a mound with a bat and kills someone, baseball has lost all leverage to suspend anyone for more than 10 games, regardless of the reason.

Interesting point, but they're unrelated. Not all suspensions are one and the same. I actually think physically assaulting a person trying to do his job is worse than juicing. In the real world, he gets thrown in jail. But the steroid policy needs work as well.

Sure, in the grand scheme of things, Rogers actions are much more serious. However, from baseballs point of view, one of these guys (Palmeiro) is destroying the integrity of the game, and the other guy is just a loose cannon who's actions don't hurt anyone but himself, and the cameraman of course.

I still don't see how baseball can punish players more than 10 games for anything short of manslaughter.
