Wow what a guy. Smacking around a 4foot tall camera guy. Guy was filiming the team, which I would imagine was his job. What was he thinking being on the field doing his job? It would be one thing if he was taking shots of the guy outside of his house, shooting his family or something intrusive, but at a practice or game? The guy needs a big fine and a long break from baseball. Strange incident, the guy just completely lost it for no reason whatsover.
The cameraman was complaining of "neck and back injuries", Im sure he already has a lawyer. Get the checkbook out Kenny.

That's an absolutely ridiculous suspension. If he were a player, it would be different. But 20 games is only 4 starts! And it is like going on the DL for him...he broke his pinky punching a water cooler earlier this week and was scheduled to miss 2-3 weeks. Uhhhhh...hello!!! What he did was uncalled for and despicable. A 60 game suspension would have been appropriate. That's 12 starts.

He was scheduled to start Sunday. And guess what, what he did was assault. Unprovoked, he went up to someone doing his job and attacked him. No one has said anything about a wink or a set-up...that's a conspiracy theory. Sorry, no excuses for this bonehead.

The other thing I just heard is that Rogers even if suspended is still eligible to make the All Star team, which he will likely do since he's 9-3 and leads the AL in ERA. Well, his contract dictates that if he makes the team he gets a $50,000 bonus. How much was that fine again? So in other words, he gets to rehab his injury without going on the DL, play in the All Star Game, and not have to pay anything out of pocket in the fine. :confused:
