I am glad he sees it as a positive, because I do not!

You rarely see NFL wide receivers as open down the field as Dolphins wideout Kenny Stills was in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Seahawks when Ryan Tannehill threw an on-target pass that seemed destined for six points.

Rather than celebrate a touchdown, Stills was left to try to explain why the ball clanged off his hands and fell to the ground after Miami’s 12-10 loss. Stills said that he thought Seahawks safety Earl Thomas was closer than he was, although that’s not much of a reason for not catching a well-thrown ball.
Perhaps coming to that realization is what Stills is referring to when he says that he sees the drop as a chance to become a better player.

I remember when he dropped it, I was making a face similar to McCain's but more angry (McCain is a teammate). I looked at my wife and said, "we won't get many opportunities, I have a feeling that drop just cost us the game." So, it was hard to get past that.

I am over it now. I like how Stills is responding to the heat.

He looked really good in pre-season. Let's hope he does really well from here on out.

I credit the folks who were even keeled about it the whole way. I wish I were that mature.

I think the team should check the vision of all of our receivers.

If we can just isolate the McCain reaction then we could use it for any cringe worthy posts...

Might be the all time best suggestion on this site.

He should see it as an opportunity to explore a new career.

I was at my local bar watching the game and when that happened i definitely lost my cool and screamed and now everyone in the entire town knows how I felt about Kenny stills lol moving forward i don't expect stills to drop another one like that but at the same time i doubt he will ever get THAT open again

im still pissed. I'm still being immature about it. I still believe had he spent more time focusing on football as opposed to players meeting and crap to strategize about how to protest the national anthem he would have caught the ball and we would have won the game. I'm a Stills supporter - but I'm pissed and if we miss the playoffs by 1 game or a half game I'm going to throw things.

God! What an opportunity to punch Seattle in da mowf. That would've electrified the team. And the 12's woulda toned down some.

That's really the only way to look at it. Make the play the next time. The good part is that Stills got that deep so easily against one of the better secondaries, which bodes well for future opportunities to hit on big plays.

I wasnt mature about it at all, hell my 3 year old kid had the same expression on his face as McCain looking at me jumping around screaming like someone just cut my leg off....then my wife politely asked me to go watch the game downstairs... My guess is she feared for the the TVs well being....

Pro Football Talk said:
“It’s one of those things that, we mess up, and I see it as an opportunity to make me stronger,” Stills said, via the Palm Beach Post. “I’m going to go out there and continue to do what I’ve been doing, work hard and the next time I get an opportunity I’m going to make the play. It’s not something that happens to me all the time. It’s going to make me stronger. I’ll go out there and make plays for this team.”

I'm sorry, but after reading this I just don't have any more patience with Stills. The guy should be angry and pissed off at himself, but he wants to just shrug it off. "We mess up". We mess up? WTF? Is he a professional or not? His attitude should be like Steve Smith's (great name by the way), not Teddy Ginn or Mike Wallace. When that ball comes in your zip code, it's yours, bad throw or not! Play angry!!!! At one time, I held out hope that he would develop, but now I know why Brees gave him the boot. The only reason why he supposedly worked his butt off this summer is because it's a contract year. IMO, he's just here for the money.

You know a tallý in the win column would have made the whole team stronger...

Don't kid yourself; it probably took all of 16 seconds (if that) to decide what to do.

If you believe it had an any impact on the missed catch then you are more foolish than these athletes who think they are making a statement.
