Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ Advance Media reported Thursday that Stills is among the Eagles' top targets when free agency begins March 9. Stills, 24, made 42 receptions for 726 yards and nine touchdowns last season, his second with the Dolphins and fourth overall.

"It's important for us to bring him back," general manager Chris Grier told Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald. "We'd like to have him back. It's his right to test the market and see what he can get, but we'd like to have him back."

Stills, Jarvis Landry and DeVante Parker combined to form one of the NFL's most promising young receiving corps. All three players are 24 years old and provide a skill set that has made life easier on quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Landry is the underneath star who racks up yards in between the numbers, Parker is a big-bodied red-zone threat and Stills is a burner who makes big plays over the top.

Pro Football Focus graded Stills as the worst of the three, ranking him 53rd among all receivers. Football Outsiders'
DYAR (defense-adjusted yards above replacement) metric was also more bullish on Stills' two teammates.

We'll have to let it play out. See what the market tells him his worth is but I do think the Eagles will make him an offer and possibly another team. If we lose Stills then Carroo will have to step up and the offense will have to change a bit since we won't have that deep threat. Hopefully we won't spend a draft pick on his replacement cause if we're willing to let him walk then we shouldn't be desperate to replace him.

Of course we let Lamar Miller and Rishard Matthews walk last year then spent 5 draft picks on their replacements (73rd pick for Kenyan Drake, 86th pick plus 186th pick in 2016 and 3rd and 4th round picks in 2017 for Carroo).

6 if you count Grant.

This is just rehashed...this isn't new news.

The problem with letting Stills go is that you turn the strength of a team into a question mark. The problem with keeping him is you are likely going to overpay for a #3 wide receiver. It's a tough call, but I do want to retain him as long as the money isn't insane.

How is he a number 3? He was our #1 deep threat and had more tds than the other two combined. That's more a number 1 if you ask me.

Because stats don't dictate his role. He's a speedy wr / deep threat.

Parker will be the #1, he has that potential. Landry is the #2 because even though he is better as a slot receiver he gets his catches and production / moves the chains. Stills got a lot touchdowns and some big plays. Not sure why you think he would be the #1

Also-
Landry 96 catches
Parker 56 catches
Stills 42 catches

Stills and Parker have nearly the same amount of yards as well, which supports him making big plays

For those who are curious about the rest-
Ajayi 27, sims 26, Williams 23, gray 14, drake 9

Well said. If the contract is around $7 million I think you get the deal done.

I'd put it this way, if Stills were on the Pats there is a 0% chance they would match top dollar for him. So why would we? If he agrees to something reasonable then it's a different discussion.

This 7th SB appearance and 5th win should show that regardless of what anybody thinks of the character of Belicheck and the organization, they do the right things to put themselves in good shape every single year, while the rest of the league (mostly) seemingly ignores their highly successful approach completely (has any NFL team in any era been this dominant?) and flounders about like drunk morons throwing darts blindfolded and hoping they hit a bullseye.

Because we need to acquire and retain talented players MUCH MORE than ne does. They have everything they need. We don't. We didn't win what they just "won" (had handed to them).

Kenny Stills unlikely to re-sign with the Miami Dolphins before free agency

One of the top potential free agents from the Miami Dolphins this offseason, wide receiver Kenny Stills looked to be a lock for next season on South Beach.

Speaking to the media about how he wanted to return to the Dolphins, it seemed like the Dolphins and Stills were going to have some pretty swift negotiations take place.

However, over the past couple of weeks, the picture has gradually gotten cloudier. Multiple teams have reported interest in signing Stills should he test the free agent waters.

For Stills and Miami, multiple teams means more money and higher contracts. Good for Stills, bad for Miami. With more reports coming out each week, Stills looks to have drifted from a lock to a player that is a potential coin flip.

With some now saying that Stills prefers the west coast and the free agent period about to heat up, it is extremely unlikely that the Dolphins will keep Kenny Stills from testing the free agent waters.

With many potential suitors, the Dolphins will need to put their best foot forward in order to retain the services of their number three man.

One area that could help Miami in the end is the young, talented roster that it possesses. That said, the fact that the Dolphins possess such a strong receiving corps is something that won’t bode well for Kenny Stills going forward.

Looking to establish himself in this league, Stills would remain the number three behind both Jarvis Landry and DeVante Parker should he return.

If Stills asks for more than $6M a year I'm saying see you later. Too much for a guy who only touched the ball 42 times all season.
