Is it me, or did Drake look like he has better run vision than Ajayi? I understand he had limited carries, but I hope so, with Parker coming on, we need something to get excited about. :-)

Personally I thought Drake looked good, Ajayi looked good, and Foster looked subpar. I know they were keying on Ajayi when he was in, and the run lanes just weren't there for him, but he did well in the passing game. The fumble was a big negative though. Ditto for Foster's fumble ... and Landry's fumble.

I took a lot of positives from our performance though. Something to build upon after two very tough road games.

I can sort of understand fumbles from giving maximum effort and fighting for every yard, but Landry has to try and get down in that situation. I don't know what is up with Ajayi. He needs reps badly, but every time we give him a chance he fumbles. I think Foster has a hammy and we probably should have left him in Miami.

He at least hung on to the football

I hope we give Drake more touches to run the ball, I think he has the talent to explode on some big runs. When he got that ball on that touchdown run, there was no doubt that he was not gonna get caught around that corner. But Ajayi has an oppurtunity with Foster hurt. If he cant capitalize this week I do not think he will ever. I have yet seen a glimpse of him as a good runner.

Ajayi had one or maybe 2 decent games at the start of his career and he's SUCKED ever since. Drake should start IMO but we need a punishing back like Blounte as well

That was supposed to be Ajayi.

how many runs did he get? 3?

Confused about Ajayi

I can't figure out what we have in Ajayi. He has decent size and when he runs north south has some decent power, but every time he gets on the field he screws up. Right now, I am pissed that he keeps fumbling the ball and without really thinking about it much I would like to cut him to make an example if nothing else. That said, fumbling aside he does have decent physical attributes. We were patient with Lamar Miller and now he is a decent back. I believe the fumbling will stop, so we probably should show the same patience with Ajayi. If he can get his head right, he can help us.

I know, right. Not much of a sample size, but he did have a nice TD run and made some people miss while doing it.

I think we'll get to see them all before the season is up.

Yes, he has better vision than Ajayi. One cut back during the preseason was enough for me to answer your question. A more interesting question is does he have good enough vision to be a starter in the NFL sometime in,the future.
