You might ask yourself why am I posting this if no rumors of this guy visiting have come out. The reason I post this is because according to are very own ChambersW Burnett has an offer on the table from our Dolphins. Profootballcentral posted a rumor days ago of Burnett being close to a deal with MIAMI. The guy was looking for a guranteed starting job, but it seems no one is willing to give him one and according to ChambersW he would love to play with Miami. We might have a new signing soon, just not the one you were expecting at CB.

NFL | Burnett wants deal done soon

Calvin Watkins, of The Dallas Morning News, reports free-agent LB Kevin Burnett (Cowboys) remains in talks with several teams and is hoping to have a deal in place by Tuesday, March 10. The Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers have exchanged contract numbers with Burnett, according to his agent, Ricky Lefft.

He was also scheduled to visit Houston and Green Bay.

Miami is one of at least five known teams interested in him.

Yawn! I would have been a lot more excited if we would have sign Igor Olshansky.

Would be a very good signing because we are very thin at ILB. Having Torbor as the only backup to Crowder and Ayodele is worrying to say the least.

Burnett would help us out a lot when teams spread us out and force us into nickle and Dime formations.

Good news. Would he compete with Ayodele?

Yes. That would be Miami's offer that he would have the opportunity to earn a starting position.

However, Ayodele started in front of Burnett in Dallas, so Burnett taking Ayodele's ILB position is hardly a sure thing and may factor into Burnett's pick of teams.

This would be great. Then we could draft CB, DT, CB and worry about LB in the later rounds.

I'm sorry am I the only one here who knows that Kevin Burnett is an "OLB", not an ILB??????

He was Demarcus Ware's backup last season, for crying out loud! What's with all this "would he be Ayodele's backup" and stuff?

We have Reggie Torbor and maybe a 7th round pick to backup Ayodele and Charlie Anderson also can switch inside.

Kevin Burnett would be Joey POrter's backup or compete with Roth and Wake for the SOLB spot. Please pay attention to rosters of other teams before making assumptions people....

I think Burnett can replace Ayodele, but the thing is Ayodele who had a real nice season for us would become expandable or a ST player. I dont know if Ayodele would welcome that and if he would want a trade. I think the mostlikely scenario would be signing Burnett and releasing Torbor, who is expensive as crap.

I see why you have s many red bars. All of this info is completely false.

People...AYODELE IS GOING NOWHERE. It has been stated a few times in articles on Sun-Sent and Miami Herlad that the current regime LOVES Ayodeles knowledge of the D, leadership, and playmaking. So...he and Channing are our starters barring injury....period.

Burnett's signing does nothing to better this team. Even though HE DOES come in for nickel and dime pass coverage capability.
