Why no interest in Kevin Curtis? He's fast, rated higher than Stalworth, makes acrobatic catches and doesn,t have the injuries or the drug problem Stalworth has. PFW has him rated as one of the top free agents yet the Dolphins don't seem interested.

Ithink Mueller is enamored with Stallworth. Hope he doesn't overpay.

When i was watching NFL Network, I was thinking the same exact thing.

Unproven commodity. He's rated higher by who, PFW? Not by many others. Stallworth is fast too and has proven himself and a decent NFL WR. Drug issues has not been confirmed at this point and Curtis, despite being all but given I.Bruce's starting role, has yet to live up to his potential. While Stallworth has had a little bit of injury issues and a few other issues, he's a safer bet than Curtis at this point, who's underachieved for several years now. I'll give you that Curtis could just need a change of locations or working out some piece of his game with the right coach. But if it's attitude or lack of development of those skills to make him successful, then a team is going to be taking a HUGE gamble with him. Why do you think he's not signed yet at this point? Stallworth has not because he's trying to get a big and long contract, but nobody is willing to do that with his question marks. I'd be OK with either of these guys, but we take a bigger gamble with Curtis.

yeah but

Larry Shannon is a bigger, faster version of Randy Moss. Why aren't we going after him?

Everyone keeps freaking out because this FA has produced close to zero on offense but I'm of the opinion that our offense should come from the draft.

I don't want Stalworth, Curtis, etc. I'd contemplate Washington at the right price due to his possible upside but now that Cambell is aboard(and the guy must be rocket fast to garner interest after 2 years of nothing) Washington may be out of the picture.

The only WR's I want are Calvin Johnson(6-5/239/4.35), Ted Ginn Jr(5-111/4/178/4.30/), Robet Meachem(6-2/214/4.39), Dwayne Bowe(6-21/4/221/4.50/), Sydney Rice(,6-31/2/200/4.51) Dwayne Jarrett(6-4/219/4.6?), Jason Hill(6-01/2/204/4.32), Aundrae Allison(6-01/8/192/4.39), Anthony Gonzalez( 6-0/193/4.44)or Craig Davis(6-13/8/207/4.46). We should and probably will get one.

Maybe because of the following opinion, Chris Chambers had a great 2005 campaign becuase he lined up mainly in the slot. In 2006 this slot line up was reduced and Chambers numbers reduced. IF we grab Curtis, he would go to the slot, maybe Cam is aware of this and thinking he wishes to see Chambers in the slot more often this coming season so Curtis may not be a good fit for what we are going to do. Not my opinion, Ive heard this very point discussed on NFL Network

regarding miami u heard this?

this is what i thoguth abotu 2 weeks ago as well bc curtis is also like 5 9 or somethign so a number 1 slot with a guy taht doesnt jump high, doesnt have long arms legs etc wont fit well. he is no steve smith or anything.

basically wtih DS, we get 2 number 1's if CC performs like last year and if not, we get 1 great number 2.

curtis wont help CC out at all i dont think.

There're plenty of good WR's in the draft this year...I like Ginn and Meachem if they're there at the right time but there's a few more guys that we could look at in the 3rd and even 4th round.
Ozzy rules!!

I disagree. Hagan was a 3rd rounder and while he has a plethora of upside we have to up the investment at the position. We should draft a WR in either the first or second round.

I agree about the depth at WR in the draft so unless Miami is trading up for Johnson or down for Ginn Jr, I'd like to take a WR in the 2nd- possibly Sidney Rice or Dwayne Bowe and wouldn't be upset if Jarrett has a horrible pro day and falls to 40.

Some visit news on Curtis:

Eagles | Curtis to visit
Thu, 8 Mar 2007 13:42:47 -0800
The <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/29/nfl">Philadelphia Eagles will be meeting with unrestricted free-agent WR Kevin Curtis (Rams) Friday, March 9.

Gonzalez hopefully. He is just like Wes Welker, except faster. He makes those 3rd down catches. Plus hes really smart and an exceptional character/worker. I think we may try for him hopefully.
