Just heard on the radio Mawae is done for the season with a torn tricep muscle
 
that sucks. his absence on the field was a big reason the jets lost. after he left, they had 2 fumbles on the center/QB exchange.

he is a truly great player. and hall of fame bound.

Edit: i remember him leaving the game, then comming back, only to leave again.
i think he tried to play with the injury, but couldnt. but like i said, a truly great lineman.
 
While I love seeing the Jets suck, I can't cheer injuries to even those on their roster. That's really too bad for Mawae.
 
Wow that's an even bigger blow to the Jets than losing Pennington.

that may be true. all they have left now is Martin.

but with a backup center and a retired QB.... Martin still managed to run all over my bills. :(
 
oh well, i dont like to cheer about injuries but losing Mawae is going to take bigger toll on the Jets more than losing noodle-armed pennington. Hopefully when we play them at home, we'll be able to expose Mawae's absence.
 
a lot of injuries already this season...it seems like they get worse and worse every season.

Bummer for the Jets Mawae is a warrior....and we Fans think we have it bad imagine being a jets fan right now :(
 
This is going to make Vinny second guess coming back. Mawae was a beast of a center and this is a HUGE loss.
