I think the key to our offseason this year on D has been that we added MUCH NEEDED speed. all of the players we got on D are VERY fast and a lot faster then the players we have now. We lacked a lot of speed and now we gained some.

then with that said i think that we should trade down n maybe get an extra pick n get Ty Hill in round 1

Hill is a good player but not a good fit for our system. Saban Like BIG corners, and Hill's a leprachaun.

If we trade down, I'd like to see us take Gabe Watson the NT from Michigan, and say we pick up Bobby Carpenter in round 2. They seem like they'd fit the 3-4/hybrid D pretty well. Watson can replace Keith Traylor and Carpenter can give us an edge rusher opposite JT. He's also pretty good in coverage. But if we stay at 16, I'd like Manny Lawson.

Bobby Carpenter is a first rounder, if we trade down then we draft carpenter and then draft watson in the second.

That works as well, I just hope Watson's still around.

i htink its for ST cuz i heard someeon say when we got him that he is an outstanding ST player. I think watson will be there but Carp wont for sure. I dono how we'll address the OLB after rd 1. i think there will be almost 8 gone in rd 1 honestly. that mcintosh guy from miami is it maybe? or the utep guy maybe..howard? tho i hate the name for obvous reasons

Not a need IMO. No guarantee he is any better than our top 3.
Safety, DT and OLB are the biggest needs on this team and we could always use an upgrade at C.

Hill is about the same height as Will Allen, one of the corners we picked up in FA.

Tye hill is 5'9 180 and will allen is 5'10 197 thats 20 pounds heavier....

There was an article in the miami herald and they were saying miami could take a running back in the first because saban wants two starters at that position...Do you really think he would do that?

I can't see Saban drafting a running back in the 1st round after drafting Ronnie Brown in the 1st round last year. They have too many other needs to fill.
