I am going to sound like I did against Carolina, but here goes. As I said going into the Carolina game, that our Wide Receivers were the key. I am sticking with that and here's why. Ronnie got his game on last week, so they will probably be bringing 8 in the box to shut him down. Our wide outs have to go out there, and continue to be aggressive,a nd take that ball away from the defenders. This will open the running game up in the later part of the second quarter. I would also line up Gilmore, and throw him some quick slants, and see what he can do with his speed to make yards after the catch.

The defense must disguise coverages to confuse Losman, regardless of the season he is having so far. If needed lend help to the corners at times, to show multi formations, do a delay blitz, and at times back out of the blitz, and at other times bring it! This breakdown isn't as good as bro CK, but this is just the way I see it. The Carolina Game, our wide outs stepped up like I said that had too, and this is another one of those games! Let's Go Dolphins! Show Buffalo that we want this one in there back yard!:beerbang:

Actually, I think a completely different gameplan would be best do beat the battered bills.

Offense. Many tight formations like two TE with a FB and Ronnie, put TE's in motion to create two to three lead blockers for battering runs strait up the gut, even if it doesn't work on the first drive or two, keep at it even if they stack the line. Then take evans out and use Booker as the FB and keep with the power rushing and work off the play action in the passing game. Nothing fancy just we are bigger stronger and faster than you so take a stop us if you can approach.

Defense. Stack the line vs. the run all first half and just blitz blitz blitz. heavy rotation on the line and linebacker will be needed to keep from wearing them out. If we get more than 14 pts up, stay in a 3 -4 or 4 -3 set look, but sub the outside LB out with CB's but keep the very aggresive blitzing scheme going.

Just my thoughts, they are weak vs. the runs and weak vs. the blitz, gotta hit'em where it hurts.:)

On offense I can buy into, but on defense with our current challenges at DB if you constantly blitz, you are really putting your neck out there, and one good completed pass to the wide outs could be 7. I think mix it up, and keep them guessing a like the past years. This will keep us unpredictable, and the momentum on our side.

yeah, that's true, but their line looks WORSE than ours last year. Outside blitzes from the ends and sometimes overload blitzes, keep in mind a blitz doesn't mean you "bring the house" it just means you send more defenders at a certain part of the line than the offense has blockers. You can rush only 3 and technically be blitzing.

Imagine this formation from the D.

Holliday Traylor Carter
Madison Danials
Saeu Thomas (???) Taylor

Jones Shulters

Holiday, Traylor, and thomas rush the passer. Traylor initiates contact with the LG and Holliday attacks the RT with Thomas blitzing either between them or around them, if the RB stays in to block (who saeu would be covering) he blitzes as well, you now have 3 attackers on two defenders and 8 in coverage with only 5 possible receivers or 4 attackers with 3 blockers (1 being a RB) and 7 in coverage with only 4 possible receivers.

you can constantly blitz and not leave yourself open to big plays.

I'm sure saban has a few things more ingenius than my simple plans, but just trying to better explain my thoughts.

The best part about a blitz like this is it essentially eliminates 3 of their players from the play. the RG RT and C all are taken out of the pass protection.

We should keep the short passes up when ever they give us 10 yards on the outside with their CBs. that worked very well. Blitz JP.

I agree, if McMike is matched up with Fletcher, who is good but tends to get lost in coverage sometimes, McMike could be open. Throwing on Buffalo is tough, they've got a good secondary, but they have not been able to stop the run so I would attack them inside. I think the team should try playing "smash-mouth" against the Bills defense. On defense I would put 8 in the box, and make Losman make a play, Moulds has had some big games in the past vs Miami, but I think you have to make Losman beat the team. I would also use some zone blitzes and try to disquise coverages, to get Losman to make a mistake. The team needs to have a very good game from the defensive tackles or else McGahee will have a very big game.
