I don't know if this has posted earlier?

"I think he’s OK," Johnson said. "He was drafted a little higher than what his performance warranted in college. I felt they reached a little bit for him but it’s not his fault. You can’t punish him for that. He’s a guy that at the right price makes sense."

So, is there still time for Ginn to salvage his Miami career?

"He has to play with a little bit of swagger," Johnson said. "He has to play with that confidence and a little bit of that swagger we’re talking about. The definition of swagger, in my opinion, is you have to have that arrogance, that confidence that you are the best out there at all times.

"That’s the way I approached the game. People said I wasn’t the fastest guy in the world, but I ran past everybody I needed to run past, and he needs to take that same approach. I dominated the [joker] when he got in front of me. He needs to take that same approach. Until then he’ll just be another guy wearing 19 that’s out on the football field running around collecting a paycheck that will soon be out of the league."

Wow. That last part sounded pretty harsh, but considering Ginn's problems this year with dropped passes and general invisibility for long stretches, they aren't out of line.

Worst case scenario: He lands a KR job some where. Out of the league? Not yet Keyshawn.

He's exactly right.....Hell I've been saying this since last year..

keyshon doesn't know jack, even if mia cut him, you don't think anybody would pick him up for the min

no, it's keyshawn who is out of the league.

ginn is underachieving for sure, but he can't possibly be the worst at his position.

I kind of want him to leave b/c he will not succeed in MIA until we change philosophy. I think he would excel in 4-5 WR sets in which the fullback and back up TE are not on the field, but actual receivers. Anyone watching the playoffs sees teams lining up with a spread out formation 40% of the time. We do that 8% of the time, with 4 active WR's. I think Ginn would excel in GB, IND, PHI, ARI and so on. He never had an issue with drops throughout his collegiate and NFL career before the Colts-Saints games. We had a bad year due to many things and still could of came out 10-6 if a couple bounces went our way. Ginn is a scapegoat but at times was deservingly so. I do not think he is a true #1 b/c he is not physical enough, though neither is desean jackson. Its funny b/c I went to 2 games this year and saw something I couldn't see on TV. Defenses cover Ginn like we cover Moss. Press at the line and safety coverage over the top... why?? Because hes Ted Ginn? No, because we have no one else.

WOW! Does anybody on this board know better than Keyshawn what it takes to make it in the NFL as a WR? I doubt it. I think he is right. Give me some more red dots.

I dont know that Keyshawn was bashing him...

He never said that he was bad just that he needs to play with more confidence and if he cant he may not last much longer...

He is right in that respect

Hartline 4th rounder..
Camarillo UDFA

You dont have to be a top draft pick to be a good wr..

And Ginn is good at best right..

They keep getting younger and you keep getting older...

The previous posters were bashing Keyshawn. I was saying that I think he is right. And that he knows more about the topic than do those who were bashing him.

I think you agree.

If we cut Ted Ginn he would find another job but I doubt his phone would be ringing off the hook with job offers.

As soon as Ginn looses a half-step he will be gone. His only asset is speed. Great players are able to develop other aspects of their game as their physical skills slightly decline. I just don't see anything in Ginn that will keep him in league other than straight-line speed.

Although speed sometimes lasts a long time. Galloway kept his speed well into his 30's.
