Harvey Fialkov, of the SunSentinel.com, reports the Miami Dolphins are still considering whether to make a run at free-agent WR Laveranues Coles (Jets).

Dolphins | Could still draft a center
Fri, 27 Feb 2009 16:58:09 -0800

Harvey Fialkov, of the SunSentinel.com, reports the Miami Dolphins could still use an early draft choice on a center despite adding C Joe Berger via free agency Friday, Feb. 27.

Nothing we already dont know, but Im sure some of you will find interesting.

The only thing I find intersting is that fact that none of these FL papers are really worth crap for breaking a story. I used to like palm beach post, but lately they are slower than the rest.

I don't think they told Joe....uh yea, we just want you to ride the bench for the next 3 years...let them compete....it would be funny if he won a starting spot though.

7 games played in 4 seasons, career backup. He's here for depth if he starts it probably means that a starter is hurt or a starter is just really bad.

umm. hes wayy better depth and alleman. and he might replace a average satele.

JimToss of Finheaven.com reports the Miami Dolphins could still be looking for a side of fries with that Berger.

Berger started a couple games last year and played pretty good. I think it was like three games. The kid is a swing tackle and is awesome depth. I dont think he was really signed to start similiar to reggie torbor last year. This kid is gonna add excellent depth to the line.

According to nfl.com he played in 3 games with no starts in '08

Im pretty sure he filled in a couple times in 08, but I could be wrong.

they have to say that...
no way Donald Thomas is as amazing as everyone thinks he is...
It's an open comp..
I have a feeling DThom will win the RG job, but he has to compete.....

Do you think we cut Shawn Murphy?
He was a 4th rounder, and was inactive all year, so awful Psquad guys like Evan Mathis, Allemen, Ndukwe, Frye... all those guys, mcchesney... we cycled through tons of RG's... Murph never played..

We can't have someone like that on the roster, real shame he hasnt worked out... I wouldnt be suprised if we cut him this offseason.. I'd prefer Allemen and Ndukwe's experience over this guy Murphy.. and wih Berger and Satele as possible G's... We are gonna lose some dudes... I'd say Murphy and Ndukwe are gone...

Im starting to think Satele may be on his way out of here altogether. Berger is clearly a depth move and if they still draft a C or sign another FA that is a starting caliber guy, I just dont see how it would be a good sign for Satele.

Truth is we are Crowded at several positions with talentless players. Here is alist and correct me If im worng.

The Interior Line Alleman,Ndukwe,Murphy and Satele these are all guys rumored to have been on there way out or not liked by the organization. I would only keep Satele and Ndukwe.

Beck needs to go, but I would like to see if the organization can get a pick for him.

The LB position is by far the most crowded I dont think Roth will go anywhere, I also do not see Walden going anywhere as he was an instant improvement in ST ,but here we go Torbor and Anderson both underachived last season and are extremely expensive. Quentin Moses needs to be cut, no talent.

I think if Burnett was signed he would be an instant upgrade and is a great ST player. Add another Linebacker in the draft and we are good.

Courtney Bryan, Rodrique Wright, Brandon Frye and maybe even Paul Soliai will be long gone.
