Dolphins | Team still in the mix for Arrington
Fri, 31 Mar 2006 21:47:10 -0800

Jeff Darlington, of the Palm Beach Post, reports the Miami Dolphins are one of four teams that remain interested in free agent LB LaVar Arrington (Redskins). He likely will end up with the Dolphins, New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars or Cincinnati Bengals, agent Carl Poston said. A deal could be a while, or it could come soon. "That's just the way this business goes," Poston said. "You never know when something will get done."

So for those who fell for the April fools joke, this is your detailed update as of midnight last night.

why do people insist on the same old updates over and over.....just look around and see how old this news is

and the deal won't take a while.

The draft is only a few weeks away, if MIami hasn't signed him by then then they probably won't and will go to the draft for LB help

Please ! no more Arrington till he signs with a team :tantrum:

Agree 100%. In fact IMO he either signs with someone pretty quick or he ends up screwing himself. After the first day of the draft Arrington's value plummets.

Len Pasquarelli reports, on ESPN Insider (on his "Tip Sheet Notes")

Quote:Around the League

• Those anticipating an imminent answer to the question as to where former Washington Redskins linebacker Lavar Arrington will play in 2006 don't have to wait any longer. Why so? Because both parties involved, the Dolphins and Arrington, have come up with the best deal possible. The reported deal is a $32 million, six-year contract with $8 million in guarantees.

Now, is this real or fake?

i madea athread regarding that its gone. why?

I'm fairly certain the Pasquerelli report is fake, the same article also goes on to list a top 10 remaining UFA's according to one league official, and Arrington's name is featured on it. The guy on Phinfever cut and pasted the whole thing, plus his edit, but neglected to notice that little part.

Because that news is fake. Why would the signing of Arrington be Insider information??
