from the Palm beach post:

Kicker Jay Feely, the Dolphins' union representative, questions the merits of any potential grievance filed by Culpepper through the NFL Players Association .
Culpepper could try to make the case that the Dolphins violated the collective bargaining agreement by baring him from this weekend's mini-camp practices.
Feely said he has met with Culpepper, Cameron and General Manager Randy Mueller about the matter.
"I don't feel the Dolphins have broken any rules," Feeley said.

My opinion is that DC should just deal with the fact that the NFL is a business and accept the rumored trade to Jacksonville and restructure his contract. He'll stay in FL and reunite with Tice, who was his coach during his 39-11 TD/INT season

I agree... This is the best bet for Culpepper if the word from Jax is true. I wish he wouldn't act as his own agent. Hard to make good decisions like this when you are too close to the issue. His emotions are moving him right now imo.

yeah, just looked it up... Ocala, DC's home town is actually much closer to Jacksonville than it is Miami... so what gives?

I don't think the Dolphins are doing anything wrong. It's not like the Tennessee scenario where the Titans weren't looking to trade or release him. We're actively trying to trade him. Culpepper can run on the bike but he shouldn't be out there on the field. It's just that Culpepper's too stubborn in trying to block trades.

Of course dolphins fans are going to think he should take the jags deal since it serves the dolphins best and not necessarily Culpepper.

What a stupid thing to say.

Everyone criticized Favre for speaking out about his teammates disputes. No one should say anything like this. It is up to us fans to say stupid and irrational things.

Its not like were costing him a starting position anyway, he is still probably another season or at least half a season away from being able to play. I know he would like to get to his team and all that but, we also have to make the best business decision that we can.

I dont have anything against Jay Feely but, who the hell is he to act like a middle man....whats next.....is the towel boy going to meet with everybody and give his opinion too? players really need to just shut up....and learn how to say "I dont know anything about that" or "NO COMMENT"

He's the player rep... and if there is any player qualified to make a comment on the situation.. it's him. Thats exactly what a rep is supposed to do.. be in the KNOW of proceedures and protocol.
