Many people mock kickers, but this is one of our most important tasks this week. Kickers decide the outcome of games and thus seasons....

oh and when you look at how the contract actually breaks down? Parkey wasnt overpaid as much as the 15m figure makes it sound. He will never make close to 15

Is a max salary of 2.7 really an outrage for a kicker you trust to win games? Look what we waste on bums we cut year in year out

Really bad move by our FO. You don’t get 4 onside and hit every 50+ by accident

Yea I wasnt thrilled by that pickup, mainly because he looked so utterly awful against us. But that was a great signing

I wasnt a fan of Franks, but Rizzi certainly has an eye for kickers

The four onside kicks is sort of overblown. If people think he's going have that type of success rate regularly on onside kicks they're mistaken. Parkey had a great year for MIami but if you're saying he could be the difference between the team winning 5 games or 7 games I don't see the point in over paying for a kicker. If he's the difference between 10 and 12 that's another story. Overall I just don't think there's a big difference in the win column having a 90% kicker as opposed to having an 80% one. You're typiclly talking about a two or three make difference and odds are they're not all going to be the difference in the outcome of games. Where I do see having a kicker like Parkey as a major plus is that you can be aggressive inside the 35 because you have a little more confidence in the kicker. Even though the number of makes and misses aren't that great, it can impact how an offensive co-ordinator calls plays.

I thought teams could no longer visit with the prospects, or was it that they couldn't come to the facility?

I hear you w the on sides but had we a competent QB we could have won 2 more games instead of giving it back to the other team.

Went to a few gator games last year they all love Eddie and chant his name every time he’s on the field. Hope we draft him.
