One of the guys we signed over the course of the off season was a 7th round pick a few years ago... That's an accolade for a kicker, right?
They signed two UFA kickers i was reading and a punter as well. If i'm Sturgis, i'm minding my P's n Q's at least. He did seem to come on late last year, but still think he has to earn it and get better.

There are always veteran kickers available at the end of preseason if they still want one.

Sturgis needs to Change his mind to Hoover. He sucks hard. If we are forced to stay with him that doesn't say much for what's available.
That and usually a good rookie or two that just misses on beating out a veteran kicker on another team.
