Looks like the deal has been revived. Stackhouse and George are out and now Hassell and Van Horn are in the deal. Everythign else is ther same

He's probably on the beach right now... all he has to do is sign a contract with Dallas and pass a physical.

What a deal. Wake up, fly to NJ, take a physical, go home, collect 4 mil.

they get harris plus expiring contracts. i actually think they get the better end of this

oh i'm sorry, i misread that, i thought that it said Harris was taken out of the deal for some reason. He's the only reason i even think of this deal if i'm the Nets. I guess it's still an ok trade for them then, they get the draft picks, trade and unhappy aging PG and create cap room for this off-season.

No kidding huh, what a deal. I am sure some rule will come of this also, think of how many players are going to leave the game but not "retire".

Van Horn's kid went to the same pre school with my son the first time here, the guy was not very nice at the school. Kids would ask him to sign stuff when he took his kid to school, and he would always make a big deal about it.

Than Kidd gets him kicked out of Jersey, and now Kid needs him.

Very interesting.

Works out better for the Mavericks. They get to keep Stackhouse and George, two nice bench players, so they arent as thin as the deal would have originally made them.

Van Horn is living large...he is going to get $4 million for one month's pay.

Deals like this are exactly what needs to be fixed in the NBA. Trades arent about getting value as much as they are getting salaries to match up which is utterly stupid on so many levels its unfathomable. Jason Kidd is a top 15 player in the league, probably a top 7 PG ever, and a likely HOFER. yet all they can get are an injured Devin Harris cap fillers and a couple of draft picks that wont yield any dividend for another few years. And its not NJ's fault as much as it is the leagues for creating that structure.
