The trade has been block not by a whining Popavich but by former Lakers Devon George. He has a provision in his contract that he can block any trade. Deal is off for now I guess that why it was only reported that the deal was agreed only in principal.:lol::lol:

Pretty soon we are going to see a Lakers conspiracy thread.:lol::lol:

EDIT: It was just reported by the Lakers media guy during the Lakers vs. Wolves game.

See other thread. So funny that George has a no trade clause.

didnt see that. Too Funny. Who knew Deavon George contract and Kwame Brown 9mill contract would be big during the trading deadline.

I actually like Devean George as a rotation player.

So do I, he wants to play with Kidd and Dirk still I think. Little does he know that this stunt here will cost him pretty much any and all playing time and perhaps a bigger contract for next year.

Golden State should acquire Kidd citing Nellies desire to use Baron Davis as a SF and Mikael Pietrus at C. :)

In all seriousness imo the best destination for Kidd might be Denver and thats kinda where I felt he should go from the start. They dont have a PG in place and they could move Iverson to the 2 guard role on offense. On defense just let Kidd guard the bigger player and Iverson take take the smaller one. Denver would be freakin scary with Melo, Iverson, Kmart, and Camby getting fed layup drills all day. What theyd give back...I have no idea.

George has officially become the least favorite person in Dallas, somewhere Jessica Simpson is smiling....

A little while ago I heard several ESPN analysts saying the only guy in the NBA with a no trade clause was Kobe Bryant....guess they had that wrong.

they will get it done, he was not a big piece in this trade..

George is a throw in but it does cause Dallas to know have to restructure the deal. George was an expiring contract and the money is gonn ahave to matchup as well.

I agree it will get done, but Dallas probably gives up another player they really don't want to give up.
