Kiko Alonso.. Going To Wrong Sideline!

Do you guys really think a 5 year veteran starter, defensive rookie of the year, is so dumb that he thought he was a member of the baltimore ravens? He was obviously shaken up at some point - I thought it was sad as I watched. He’s gunna be a meme all season.

One other possibility occurs to me.

He was having fun playing a joke. I remember a long time ago when players could tackle, there was a defender who joined the opposing teams offensive huddle. The refs made him go back to his side of the ball. I thought it was funny. Guess I did not know what it takes to be a real fan.

Some joke. He cost us yardage with a delay of game penalty.

Kiko's first language is Spanish. English is his second language. Sometimes he is trying to clearly answer in his second language. He's not "out of it" as you suggest.
Kiko had a laugh that he went to the wrong sideline. Thought he played pretty well tonight. Definitely looks healthier than last season.

It’s not about language, it’s that he seems to process questions slowly and seems often confused. He’s either very stoned in interviews or he has some cognitive issues due to concussions.

I just think he was very focused on what had happened on the field. He played hard as he normally does but instead of heading to the bench he was watching the game on the field.

Meh, he got upended and turned around. Backpeddled the the wrong sideline. By the time he got there and realized what he had done, the ravens were lining up to kick, so he hesitated.

It was amusing, but nothing more. To say he's too dumb to know what sideline he was on is a bit rediculous. Anyone who's played a sport can tell you that disorientation happens from time to time.

Or, maybe he realized it and was a little too embarrassed in the moment and hesitated to do anything. Kind of like when you're not paying attention on a full elevator and end up stepping off on the wrong floor...you know you did it when you get off the elevator, but you sure as hell aren't going to let the other elevator riders know it! So you walk a little ways to make it look like you belong, and wait for the doors to close so you can quick go back and push the call button again. At any rate, I think we are making way to big a deal of this. It was a 5 yard penalty, and like somebody else said, players get shook up and disoriented out there. If it happens a lot, then we need to worry!

At the game yesterday we were trying to figure out what happened. When have you ever heard of a delay of game penalty on the defense? :laugh
I texted someone who watched the game asking if they explained it on TV. When the text came back "Kiko went to the wrong sideline" we had a good laugh.
It's pre-season. :roflmao

No he's just slow. Seen him talk enough to know it's not a second language thing.

J-off said it best months back in the draft forum (I think): Like thinking hurts.

This. It has nothing to do with language. He's obviously very slow (no offense to him). I've picked up the same from the interviews I've seen with him.

Reminds me of every dumb kid in every sitcom I've ever watched. There's always that one....
