Kiko Alonso.. Going To Wrong Sideline!

No he's just slow. Seen him talk enough to know it's not a second language thing.

J-off said it best months back in the draft forum (I think): Like thinking hurts.
Thinking hurts. Hilarious.

This guy dives with a shoulder low to make tackles which infuriates me. Can anyone coach this guy to wrap up? Any how, does it surprise you that leaping into the majority of his tackles would result in a little slowness?

Kiko's first language is Spanish. English is his second language. Sometimes he is trying to clearly answer in his second language. He's not "out of it" as you suggest.
Kiko had a laugh that he went to the wrong sideline. Thought he played pretty well tonight. Definitely looks healthier than last season.

No....stop making excuses for him or making like it was a funny little aside. He's either as dumb as a box of rocks (which wouldn't be a big surprise) or has already had some kind of brain damage - either way it doesn't bode well for him playing for us or anyone. I played youth, high school & college football and never ONCE did I see a player run to the wrong sideline..... maybe start towards the wrong sideline and then realize it but never go there and stand there not realizing it or have to be told by that team he was on the wrong side.

There is definitely something wrong with that dude.

He did play pretty well, but people will hate.

Meh, he got upended and turned around. Backpeddled the the wrong sideline. By the time he got there and realized what he had done, the ravens were lining up to kick, so he hesitated.

It was amusing, but nothing more. To say he's too dumb to know what sideline he was on is a bit rediculous. Anyone who's played a sport can tell you that disorientation happens from time to time.
Yea common sense thinking lacking big time in this thread. Insults are more appropriate I guess.

LOL...so it's "common sense" to think he wound up on the wrong sideline because he got "turned around and up ended"??? I guess he's the first player to ever get in that position, huh? No, it obviously happens that players are turned around & up ended all the time in every game yet never happens that they go to the wrong sideline, stay there and have to be TOLD they're on the wrong sideline. It's irrational and lacking in common sense to believe this was the cause. Even Harbaugh was like, "dude, what the hell is wrong with you??" before laughing it off.

Excuses are being made here plain and simple for the fact that he's either a complete moron or that he has the beginnings of some neurological issues. The possibility that he may have some brain damage already shouldn't be thought of as "amusing" in any case.

I think Beavis did it on purpose.
Me too...Not taking preseason serious which is apparently how the entire franchise views it.

Go watch a rehearsal for a broadway play...a orchestra...the new kid making two all beef patties with the special sauce. One thing they all have in common is that they try to get it right and at least pretend it counts. Ive seen enough failure out of this preseason of practice to know they will not be ready when the curtain drops.

On purpose?? At what cost? Getting a penalty, looking like a fool, making your team look like fools (they need no help btw), pissing off your coach(es) and becoming a meme/gif of a typical brainless football player to be laughed at?

Also, you guys make it sound like he planned it & knew it would be covered on TV, etc.....there was no way he'd be able to be sure they caught it, would broadcast it or they hadn't gone to commercial, the booth, etc.

I swear, I don't understand how some guys get these ridiculous ideas in their heads. C'mon guys, THINK!

BTW, just saw Alonso's own explanation was that he landed on his head and "lost his sense of direction" :

Dude, your hatred is showing. Might want to tuck that back in. ;)

Seriously though, relax. Not worth having an stroke over. Certainly not worth going after other members just because they don't share your hatred for a player.

Hatred???....LMAO!...Just where in the post you quoted did I appear to hate on him - If anything I was "hating on" idiotic takes on him doing it purposely. In fact, accusing him of doing it purposely (and hurting the team, disobeying coaches, etc) would make it seem that YOU can't stand him and are applying illogical factors to make him appear not to be taking it seriously & exhibiting a lack of respect for the team, etc. Looks like you or those who are ascribing to that behavior are accusing him of hurting the team or affecting their image in order to personally benefit & make himself look "funny". What does that say about your take on him??

BTW...It's funny that anytime anyone has a different take than theirs about a player it becomes that person is a "hater". Ummm...no - In fact I couldn't care either way about Alonso...if he's here, fine...if not fine also. He's just a serviceable cog in the machine. Not a piece of junk but also surely not a finely machined Swiss piece of work.

I’m not as down on Kiko as the majority of the board seemingly is. You just have to deploy him correctly.

Don’t waste your time. There are a few posters who develop a dislike for some players and nothing they can ever do will change their minds.
They will marginalize any positives and attribute them to luck, then over emphasize any negatives to try and prove their narrative that the player sucks.
