I for one have been impressed with his level of play this year. Obviously he has some weaknesses, coverage being the major, however he is a playmaker.

Just looked up Linebacker stats on NFL.com and here are a few of note:

#2 in the league for Combined tackles with 61.
#2 in the league for Interceptions with 2.
#2 in the league for Forced Fumbles with 3.

In my opinion these measurements are among the top 5 of how we should evaluate a playmaking linebacker. I believe his performance is a major reason the Dolphins are 4-2 this year.

Just some food for thought.

I said last week - he’s having a pro bowl year. Remember what the NFL is now. Defenders can’t defend. They can only make splash plays. He’s making a lot of them. There are no more Zach Thomas’es or Urlachers or thumpers that matter. No one can cover these 4.3 speed backs everyone has. The LB position is only noticed anymore when a guy makes a big play or comes flying in for a TFL or sack. Kiko is playing as well as anyone right now.

I like what I see. Hope he keeps it up as our defense has been injected with some Youth and it's looking really good.

Baker dropped off a little bit in this one. Kiko top lb grade.

But unit overall playing pretty solid football. Raek starting to show up. But the ask looks pretty limited for a top 50 pick.

He hasn't played with decent linebackers in Miami so he tried to do to much. Now he is and can play his role. He's a solid LB that always seems to be around the ball and make plays.

I have always liked the much maligned Kiko. Ok, he doesn’t have the speed in coverage, but he gives it his all on every play.

If only Spiderman Parker had his heart

At a recent presser, when reporters asked Gase which thing he was right about and wanted to rub-in for naysayer reporters, he answered Kiko Alonso.

Yet, There are still many here that want to outright cut him and label him the worst LB in the entire league.

Good point. Definitely feels like there is no defense sometimes in today's NFL. Many drives are stopped by holding penalties etc., rather than the D coming up big. Makes you wonder if defense still wins championships, or do you just look to build a potent offense?

Kiko definitely has a knack to find the ball, be it putting a hand or a hat on it.

The amount of yards racked up in games is crazy and quite frankly is making the game less interesting. The chiefs - pats game got stupid in the second half where every play / drive went for a TD.

I was like "why is he talking about comic books? Specially about Spiderman like that... Peter Parker has a ton of heart!"

Devante wishes he had half of Spiderman's heart. Lol
