Kiko has surgery on thumb!!!

Dolphins MLB Kiko Alonso has undergone surgery for a broken thumb, but could continue playing.

Coach Adam Gase wasn't clear if he meant Alonso could return this week, or this season. Alonso played through the injury on Sunday, but it's obviously a different matter now that he's required/undergone surgery. Alonso has enjoyed a decent bounce-back season in the middle for Miami. Mike Hull will fill in if Alonso can't return.

Kiko has been healthy for 12 games. We knew he had injury issues. Koa Misi and Jelani Jenkins also being hurt is also expected. Next man up, time to step up.

I'm a fan of Vance Joseph. This is a game where he will need to prove his worth. We will need the DL to destroy the Cardinals long passing game and limit their running attack. We will need our CB's to stifle the short passing attack. VJ needs to find a way to hide our woeful LB corps.

Our offense needs to find a way to consistently beat that tough Arizona defense, because our defense simply cannot hold them back with this group of LB's. It's time we started playing like a playoff team ... and maybe the Chargers game was the last time we really did.
 
You can cast up a thumb and still have the ability to play LB. Lord knows the fins need him.
 
Its a freaking thumb...cast that sucker up and get out there an club'em with it!
 
Nobody is asking you to perform a guitar solo on the field. Put some hot glue on that mother****er and get in the damn huddle!

Duno if you guys ever read an article on Jason Taylor and what he played through once. It was written by Dan Lebatard.
 
I busted my middle finger playing 10 days ago (I'm too old for this ****). It was just diagnosed today, so that's why it was crooked lol.

Flag football with 85% of my pec torn off my humorous and high school ball with migraines. Pay me Kiko Alonso money, rookie salary and all, and you'd see me out there with a lot more than a thumb in a cast.

Now That you say it! Great point.. Ronnie Lott cut his freaking pinky off in the locker room.

I do recall Surtain playing with a cast on his hand for an extended period of time too.
