Kiko Alonso remakes at first mini camp

“I can do it all,” Alonso said. “I think to be a great linebacker now in this day and age, you’ve got to do it all. You’ve got to be able to play in coverage, man to man”

“I feel really comfortable,” he said. "My body feels great.”

Hope he can get back to even close to his first year...

A good start = showing up to the first practice.

:err:

OK. The fulfillment of expectations around here are something else.

if healthy, a steal. he's the forgotten one in the trade, I think everyone expects him to be injured

I don't think people have forgotten him as much as lowered expectations based on his injury history and play last year.

Glad to hear.

What are your expectations?

If Kiko stays healthy, that trade will look good and quiet all the naysayers. I'm rooting for the kid to be a great addition to the defense.

I have high hopes for him.

Watching him in Buff his rookie year, this dude was all over place like a damn jack Russell.

He ain't forgotten, dude. He is the only possible factor that would make this trade anything above "Foul Stench" level.

Agreed, if Kiko makes it back to stud level, this trade goes from terribad to pretty smart depending on who we draft.

Actions speak louder than words. I have faith in him IF his knee is ok.

Really? So if Bryon Maxwell does better in a press man scheme this year, that won't help?

Kiko is injury prone and not terribly bright. So I'm hoping he can stay healthy and that Vance Joseph doesn't make it too difficult for him.
