I was totally disgusted with Kiko last year and thought he was pretty much useless. I would have not minded at all if we got rid of him. I am happy that I was very wrong. The guy is flat out balling and I love his attitude. When our defense looks good he is a big part of it. It seems to me that he is helping out the younger guys as well.

Yes he is proving me wrong too. When he went to the wrong sideline in preseason, I thought there was something wrong with him, but he has shown a lot so far this season.

I have been hard on Kiko too. Beyond today’s splash plays, he made a very nice play where he stuck with his man in coverage, even as Trubisky was coming toward him, and then Trubisky was forced to slide short of the first down. Kiko last year would have peeled off his coverage responsibility too soon and given Trubisky an open dump off option. I thought it was Kiko’s best play of the game.

Man, that trade where we picked up Kiko and Maxwell for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and actually saved money on Tunsil's rookie contract (selecting him at 13 vs. at 8 overall) is looking better and better and better.

Kiko is not good in coverage.....but he has good instincts and is a ball hawk. He is around or the cause of a lot of turnovers for the defense. He isn't perfect, but he is playing significantly better than he did last year and seems to be having fun out there.

I was impressed on that play as well. I thought for sure he would bite on Trubisky and give up the first. He actually showed good discipline there.

Kiko is a good player. Covering is really a big ask for today’s LB’s and lots of them are bad at it. We need to realize that when we see him get beat. Sometimes we act like Kiko is the only LB In the NFL who gets beat in coverage.

That's a by-product of people not watching other teams sometimes. There's a reason why every good QB in the league is throwing for 5,000 yards and good offences are scoring near 30 points a game. Just watch the Jags get roasted today by the 'Boys.
