Kings Sorry After Controversial Video Draws Pistons' Ire

that's awesome.

People need to lighten up and have a sense of humor.

Well I guess they could have shown the good side of Detroit, this is assuming that there is one.

I probably would have found it funny if I had been there.

The problem is that most Detroiters are ultra-provincial about their hometown, so it doesn't take much for them to get defensive. People have a way of getting like that when everyone and their brother talks smack about how much your city sucks and how much of a hole in the earth it is. Having lived in Buffalo for a decent period of time, I can sort of identify with that.

Think about it this way: how would the average South Floridian feel if, at a Phins or Heat road game, if the jumbotron showed a montage of Miami that featured a bunch of coke dealers shooting each other up?

My brother was trucker and he paid a guy $20 to watch his truck while he was offloading furniture in downtown Detroit .....he said it looked like Beirut.

Well, frankly, it does. I've been to Detroit a number of times. My car once broke down just a couple miles away from 8 Mile (I think it was 11 Mile and Van Dyne). If it had, I would have simply grabbed what I could carry, walked away and reported it stolen. And frankly, you could increase the real estate value of probably 1/3 of the downtown area by blowing it up.

But like I said, it doesn't mean people want to hear about it constantly.
