they just debated where the top 4 QBs will go, and here is where they said...

Matt Ryan
Kiper-Baltimore, but if he gets past Atlanta, Carolina might try to trade up to get him.
McShay-Atlanta, says Arthur Blank really wants him.

Joe Flacco
Kiper-Whichever team (Atlanta,Baltimore) doesn't get Ryan, but says to watch for the Dolphins.
McShay-Same thing, but says some in the Ravens organization like Flacco more than Ryan.

Brian Brohm
Kiper-Chicago Bears
McShay-Says Brohm is 2nd best QB in the class and the most accurate. Says Miami will select him at 32.

Chad Henne
Kiper-Says rumors are that Henne has risen back into the late first, and that Sparano will start his tenure as Miami coach with 2 Michigan men. (Says Henne is the tough gritty QB, Parcells loves).
McShay-Perfect fit for Carolina.
 
if brohm falls to miami id be losing my mind. im not as big of a fan of his as i was last yaer when he DIDNT DECLARE but i was drooling for him. it'll seem odd if he ends up here and how i wanted 2 players and we got em the year after. how random life unfolds.
 
I could live with Brohm or Henne. I see a similarity to Brady in Brohm. This way we would have a backup if Beck isn't the future.
 
Great to see we're still looking for some quality QB help. I love Beck, but heading into a season with him and no insurance scares me. Let the 3 way QB competition begin!
 
its funny that that Harvey F. guy says our FO has a "man crush" on Beck and yet has the same feelings for Flacco.

do we need both? I love Flacco but I am ambivalent about drafting a QB on Day 1
 
Brohm is the only guy I like enough that I wouldn't mind if we took a QB on day 1.

I can agree with you on that one. While I like Flacco's physical skills and Henne's grit and attitude. I think the only guy in this draft that has potential to be great is Brohm. I think Matt Ryan is over hyped, and Brohm has better poise and accuracy that will make him a starter in this league.
 
I think we almost HAVE to go defense with the second round pick. Unless of course, we are unaware of dealings for JT that the front office is banking on. I tend to agree with Kiper though that IF we pick a QB in the second round, it will show you the confidence the front office has in Beck, or lack thereof.

Personally, I have grown to like Beck's grit, but I still maintain that we bungled it big time last year by not picking Brady Quinn. Perhaps the FO is looking to fix that mistake this year?
 
i dont believe we'll see any of these guys in a dolphins uniform any time soon. the FO loves Beck and already tested him by signing McCown.. i dont expect the fins to get any more QBs till maybe the 7th round or thru undrafted free agents..
 
If the Dolphins like Beck enough to the point where they decide to pass on Matt Ryan, then why should the Dolphins take a quarterback in that second tier group of Flacco, Henne, and Brohm? Draft a quarterback in the later rounds, there are plenty of other needs that the Dolphins have too address before quarterback.

Because Matt Ryan wasn't worth the first pick.

I agree we should address our other needs first. I just like Brohm too much to want to pass if he's there.
