I find it hard to believe that we would pass on both Quentin Groves and Antoine Cason but here it is.

If you are not an insider he has us taking:

1. Jake Long OT Michigan
2a. Lawrence Jackson DE USC
2b. Orlando Scandrick CB Boise St.
3. Brad Cottam TE Tenn
4. Bruce Davis LB UCLA

Side Note: Quentin Groves and Antoine Cason go at #59 and #61 respectively. We pick our 2b at number 57.
 
I don't know much about the last 3 players...anyone want to weigh in on them? What kind of TE is Cottam? We need a stud TE, that position is the foundation of Parcells style of offense.
 
I agree. That doesn't make much sense. I don't really see us going for Jackson either. Seems like a slight reach at that spot.
 
Cottam is very similar to Bennett. Both tall with good speed and hands. Both underutilized at their respective schools. I would like Bennett but I wouldn't be upset if we got Cottam.

I just can't see Scandrick in the 2nd round for us with Cason there and Groves for that matter.
 
Yeah... that's just dumb.

I like Scandrick, but in the 2nd!? And certainly not over Antoine Cason.

Same goes for Jackson, I like him, but not over Groves.

I'm with you. I just can't see either of those two falling past us in the 2nd round. Things that make you go hmmmmm.
 
aside from the first and last pick, not a fan. Jackson is good, but doesn't really fit into our d. Scandrick is nice, but the 2nd is probably a reach. Hate the Cottam pick. Not really a stud, and always injured. Later in the draft, sure but not 3rd round.
 
well lawrence jackson would switch to SOLB in our defense. scandrick has been moving up boards like crazy to the point he is now a 2nd or 3rd round pick at worst possibly. Cottam fits what parcells and ireland want at the TE position. davis fits the WOLB role pretty well.
 
other than Long I don't see any of those guys going to us.

like the first two picks. i think Jackson as an OLB will be very good. but the last 3?
