Kiper's Undrafted Free Agents Review

I didn't notice that we signed a K, I think that will be good for Sturgis
 
Williams might end up being a steal. I'd be happy with a back field of Moreno, miller, Williams
 
I was so thrilled with Sturgis initially, thinking that a pick for him was well spent - until I wasn't and didn't. If Sturgis can't rise to the occasion (although I think he can) and this more commonly-acquired UFA kicker beats him out - it'll go down as yet another bedrock in Ireland's "legacy."
 
Think there were two kickers taken in the draft, am a bit indifferent about which kicker ends on the roster but good to have competition. Not a huge sample size but I get the impression Sturgis isn't great under pressure.
 
Fera is a Penn State transfer. Came out of high school with a very strong leg, could place-kick or punt and played LB as well. He was one of the top couple kicking prospects coming out of high school.
 
Wouldn't be a real shocker to me if Damian Williams has the most carries of any Fins running back in 2015. Also wouldn't shock me if he's cut in August. There's a lot of potential with him but he's gotta come in and make the most of an opportunity.

Competition for Sturgis is a good thing. The Dolphins put him in some tough spots last year. Reminded me of Greg Zuerlein's rookie year a bit, where the coaches saw he had a strong leg and proceeded to attempt too many long field goals. That, and the miss against Baltimore at the end, put him into a tailspin for a while. I think Sturgis will be fine, but he does need to improve from last season as a whole.
 
Fera is not signed. He will be a tryout player next weekend. You will find that on links on twitter. As said before, he is also a punter, so that makes him a dual threat.

I agree, williams reminds me of Emmit Smith, very quick feet and extremely balanced and fluid with power and great vision. Can't believe he went undrafted, he is also a great zone scheme running back.. A. Johnson will be a stud DT also. Great off season thus far..

Williams is smooth and makes it look it easy.

Sturgis has no worries. His job is safe
 
Williams does look talented dropped because his team suspended him and he basically didn't play football for some time. I don't see him getting snaps over Moreno or miller not unless there is an injury
 
Sturgis can be clutch..I became a believer after he Atlanta game he kicked a 57 yarder but the falcons coach called time out. He lined up again a hit it. That was when we were on a roll and started 3-0 . He went into a slump in the middle of the year with the rest of the team. The coach asked him to kick one too many 50 ydrs and his confidence got shot. He cam back to end the season better. I hope he takes the challenge he turn out to be Ireland's best pick...we will see...I'm rooting for the kid.
