Wasn't he up for the head coaching job at Florida last year? The guy is a hot prospect, I wouldn't be surprised to see him go to a big name college. The guy is instant head coach material, not coordinator (but it would be a steal to get him!).
Wouldn't be too surprised to see him wind up in the NFL this offseason, there are a ton of coaching vacancies and you gotta figure that a couple college guys will move up to fill them. With Saban's success, I think teams will feel confident looking once again towards the college ranks.

Doubtful he'll leave Iowa. He wanted to stay until his daughter graduated, and his daughter is like 4th or 5th grade, maybe a little older. Man did he get hosed out of 100K from that offsides call that was very bogus.

Yeah, Ferentz has been a hot name for a couple of years now. I think if he were to jump to the NFL, he'd get a "total control" type situation like Saban.
Kirk actually had an outside shot at the Dolphins HC job, before Saban took the job. Mind you it was a big outside shot, but being from Iowa I wanted him over Saban, but I have to say I love what Saban has done, and can't wait for the future.
Kirk will get a HC somewhere when he is ready, but I would love to see him and Saban on the same sidelines!
Oh, and that offsides call was total BULL****!!!! It was one of many, many bad calls those refs made that game. Theys should be sent back to reffing highschool games!

Kirk is being courted by several teams for a HC position, not a coordinator position. With his credentials, he won't be leaving Iowa until he gets the HC job he feels is right.
Linehan is also being courted by a team or two...he is interviewing with Houston and of course has ties to Minny...
I don't know where you heard the Ferentz rumor, but at this time its false...
Nope he will not leave Iowa. I live here in Iowa city and he has a couple kids in school yet. His wife loves it here. The only place I think he would is Penn State when Joe Pa leaves. IMOPLEEZHELPUSNICK said:
