We have gotta bring one of these guys in, both of these guys are awesome and Howard can cover the tight-ends. I watched a clip of him running down Deangelo Williams from behind. Akin is a terrible tackler he is slow and a liability in coverage. even if they don't resolve the CBA I believe Morrison has enough years to still become a free agent.

I like howard just because of his age, isn't he a converted safety?

agreed, plus I THINK he can play safety or maybe he flat out sucked as a safety and thats why they made him a lb I'm not sure.
 
Well we need to find some linebackers who can actually run. Then find ones who know how to lay the wood as none of our linebackers know how to physically hit a ball carrier!!!!
 
neither....we need a run-stopping SOLB,and both dont fit the bill.Howard is a WOLB,who excells at pass rushing,but thats what we have Wake for.Kirk Morrison is a MLB,and is ideal to Torbor,so I wouldnt take either.

Morrison ideal to Torbor? I'm sorry but you can't get much worse at ILB then Akin Ayodele and Reggie Torbor. This is one of the teams biggest needs is another starting caliber ILB

Yea I was about to say morrison and torbor that's 2 differant worlds there

Howard can cover better than any LB ive seen in a while. In our scene i think he slide inside. WE dont really use run stopping OLB-Roth. We are much more fond of 2 pass rushers kind of forming a 5 man front. and have 2 lbs. Crowder can be the run stopper with Howard as the blitzer and Te shadower. We all now that Nate cant blitz so i think Howard can really open up the blitzes for us.
 
Problem is both players will be RFA's after the season. I don't see our FO giving away draft picks for these guys when they probably feel they can do just as good through the draft with a much lower price tag.

The only way I could see us getting either one of these guys is through a player for player trade.
 
K.Morrison is C.Crowder, they both tackle at and 5 yards past the line of scrimmage alot. They both do not make plays, big plays that is, so we wouldn't be really upgrading. We need a playmaker beside Crowder not a clone, Howard can cover and blitz he just can't tackle well in the box and we have Wake for that position anyways. Honestly I'd pass on both (even though their both restricted FA's anyways), I'd rather get a ILB from the draft. M.Johnson and J.Pawelek are my guys I'd like to see, give them a year to develope and one will take over for Akin.

Torbor is a range guy,just like Morrison.....he just isnt as starting caliber as Morrison.

Did you not see the Saints game?

Thats what Morrison would bring to the table.We need someone thats gonna be at the LOS,or in the backfield,and Morrison isnt that guy....hes a rover.

Disagree we need a MLB that can cover Crowder is only good at stopping the run he is a good player but when he isnt in our Run d struggles
