"Chad Henne continues to intrigue me as quarterback. Chad Pennington is safe as the starter, but Henne is a star in the making. While I was at camp, Henne ran the offense like a veteran, always getting the ball out of his hand in less than three seconds. In Week 2 preseason action, Henne continued his rhythm-passing and strong-armed attack. In two games, he has completed 17 of 27 passes with a touchdown throw in each preseason game. The Dolphins use a three-second buzzer at practice to make the quarterbacks throw on time. Henne has really benefited from that drill in the games."

Well if Kirwan says so, I guess he'll be a star.

Nice to hear someone saying something positive about our players though.

Would have had 3 TD passes if not for that ugly drop on that easy catch by Ricky.

Almost as bad as the drop he had in the wildcat against the Jets in week 17.

I think all Dolphins fans are intrigued by Henne. He was drafted to be the "quarterback of the future." He has the talent, he has the goods, now the only questions remains is will he be able to put it all together when his number is called?

Better edit this post to tone it down. Them's fightin' words to some folks around here.

Good stuff, for a change. I love this regime. Lazy sloppy front running journalism like ESPN will be spilling over-love nectar all over Parcell's & Co. by October.

thats what happens when you are a starting QB for 8 straight years and then you sit behind ChadP for the 9th

I am definitely curious as to how Henne would do as the starter, but I'm content to wait until he earns the job.

Good to hear. He'll get his shot sooner or later and we just have to hope he shows us the talent that most of us think he has. I personally think he will make the most of it and be our starter for a long time barring injury. It would be terrific to have some long term stability at QB again.

I've heard this said so many times about so many different QBs. I am hoping for the best but I am still in the wait and see mode.

While I have high hopes for Henne, what we really have back there reamains to be seen. I think he still has a bit to learn and with a guy like Pennington showing him the ropes I think it helps alot. If we can have Pennington's smarts and Hennes arm in one guy I'm all for it. For now Im drinking the kool-aid.
